Monthly Favourites | March

Hello, apologies for being so absent on the blog lately, work and other thing literally took over my life all of March. I was just too busy to have time for anything else so I decided to use my free days to catch up on some needed sleep and also just to sort of detox my system.
Anyway, today I'm sharing my March favourites, they're all beauty bits and I just noticed that one or two of these products had also been featured in the January favs post as well - guess that shows you just how much I love them right?

January Favourites

It's hard to even think and reflect on the fact that we're onto the 2nd month in such a short period of time. I literally have no clue where January went, I feel as if I didn't do much last month aside from stressing about what's to come...

On a more positive note, today I'm sharing with you a few beauty related items that I've been absolutely loving this past month. Most of these products have already made their debut on the blog - except for my relatively new foundation, which is from MAC and I've been using it for a little over a month. Plus I'm going to share with you another product that I'm certain will stay a favourite of mine for quite some time.

Cheetah print with a twist

These Zara bottoms are finally making a comeback in 2016. I probably only used them once or twice last year which is sad, but if you think about it, that's another way to feel as if a certain piece is new to your wardrobe. I got them aaaaages ago so you probably won't find them anywhere. I love that they're pink and imprinted with black cheetahs. I was in a rush when getting ready and this was the outcome. I threw on a headscarf because I was half-way done with installing box braids and I didn't want to look like a crazy woman.

3 Last Minute Looks for NYE

It's finally New Years Eve which means it's time to put together an outfit for the magical night -or perhaps most of you already have an idea of what you'll be wearing. Myself I'm kind of a last-minute person and also this NYE for me will be spent working so the'll be no going out on my part. I put together three gorgeous outfits to inspire those who still have no clue as to what they want to wear.
NYE | Nude Trench

Outfit 1 // What I absolutely adore about this outfit is the trench coat, I mean how can one not? To me it appears to be the correct and perfect cut, colour and warm enough to wear on a cold night out. I decided to pair it with a nude loose blouse which can easily be switched up for a white one. A light bronze-y smokey eye would go well with the outfit and seeing as there's no sparkle, a sparkly pair of heels and a dark lipstick would polish the outfit nicely.

NYE | B e r r y

Outfit 2 // The items used above are quite expensive but I felt it wouldn't be a problem because this post is to inspire you with ideas and not for anyone out there to go splurge over $1.000 on a pair of sequined trousers just for the sake of it. Anyway, I really like the trousers above and I'll try to hunt down a similar pair for myself. I added a black fitted blazer to balance the look and added some burgundy accents like the lipgloss, nail polish and bag to bring out the berry colour in the trousers. A winged liner would settle the look very well in my opinion.

NYE | Classy ways

Outfit 3 // Look at how beautiful this ASOS dress is, from the bodycon to the spaghetti straps; it's literally perfect and affordable, which is always a plus. The look can be worn with tights or bare-legged, it's could be styled in a casual or fancy way, just go with whichever way floats your boat. A faux fur for warmth is perfect and the above navy one is not too overpowering and definitely leaves the dress to shine. Make-up wise, a dark sultry smokey eye would be suitable and finish off the look with either a red or nude lipstick. Personally I'd choose a red one because not all of us are into nudes... pun intended.

Hope this post was of help and remember, it's not all about owning the most expensive item but grasping inspiration from that expensive piece and adjusting it to your lifestyle by either styling an outfit based off of it or simply finding an alternative. It makes no sense to spend a fortune on a single sequined dress which you'll most likely wear once. Wishing everyone a happy New Year ahead of us!

ELLE UK - October edition
Necklace - Zara // Estée Lauder firming/sculpting face cream // Viva Glam 3 - MAC // Vitamin E oil // Argan oil of Morocco hair treatment // L'Occitane foot cream // Studio finish concealer duo - MAC // B&BW hand-gel

I'm back! It feels like ages since I last blogged. Anyway hope everyone's excited for the weekend, myself I've been off work since Wednesday and I'm at home trying to relax, I feel the flu's slowly but strongly creeping on me because yesterday I experienced one of the worst headaches ever!

Today's post is a few of my favourites from the month of October. It's not much but these are the things I've sort of  been reaching for more frequently. Firstly, I've been loving my Too Faced medium/deep bronzer (which I use as a setting powder), it smells like chocolate and I can't help but whip it out at random times just to get a whiff of the good smell. As of late I've been loving the L'Occitane foot cream, it's as creamy as a hand cream I once had from the same brand, it applies smoothly to the feet and keep them hydrated, it's perfect for the cold months. It's also been quite a while since I last picked up a magazine seeing as these days one can find pretty much everything on the internet, early October I decided to get ELLE and I've been reading it for inspiration here and there.

What have you been loving in October?

Beauty | Smoked to the Gods

Products used:
Urban Decay Naked 3 palette
YSL Ecré de peau foundation
Ebay lashes
Gosh liquid eyeliner
MAC studio fix fluid concealer

It's been a while since I posted anything beauty related and that's why today I'm coming to you with this smokey eye I created back in June for the Secret Solstice festival. I was so impressed with how it turned out because this look definitely wasn't planned and I just went from my brows to the eyes and this was the outcome. The dramatic lashes livened the look even more and I received quite a lot of compliments, which we all love. I used only the NAKED 3 palette and I cannot wait to show you some Autumn inspired looks.
