Excuse the quality of the photos, they were taken around 10PM and also my photographer had consumed a bit of booze so yeah... Anyway just wanted to drop by with a quick outfit post from way back when I had lost my pictures; thankfully one of my workmates is a photographer and has an 'emergency kit' on his computer so he did manage to retrieve all my pictures. 
I got the floral top in Vero Moda on sale and the high waist Zara pants are my favourite. The Deichmann heels came to mind when I was planning my outfit and by the end of the night I couldn't walk lol. They hurt so much but beauty is pain right?

How Would You Wear | J U M P S U I T

Blue Vanilla


So I've been slacking with the HWYW posts and I'm starting to think it's better for me to not make any further promises. This month's theme was to style a one-piece, we could choose from rompers, jumpsuits and overalls. I styled this gorgeous Blue Vanilla jumpsuit with my favourite leather jacket and a pair of blue converse sneakers for a laid-back vibe. This look can easily be transformed from day-to-night by simply ditching the converse for a pair of heels and adding a clutch.

Beauty

I have a confession to make, recently I discovered my addiction (and comfort) with false eyelashes, there's just something about them and there are so many options out there and one can easily transform any basic looking into looking very lush. I've been wearing lashes almost everyday and only mascara on my lower lashes especially for work because my eyes are easily irritated with wearing mascara for a long period. Also winged liner is something I've doing for quite some time now and I'm starting to put more time in my face make-up than before.

I'm also really in need of a new hairstyle and as I said before, I want as big curly afro, thinking maybe crochet braids or a curly weave. I've yet to decide but probably in the next coming days I should have a new hairstyle and I'm very excited. For all my sistahs, ya'll know that feeling of having a new hairstyle that instantly transforms you into a 'new' person. Have you tried any of these products and if so, how did you like them?

Outfit | The bodycon dress

I can't begin to explain how much I love this dress, it suits me so well and is neither too short or long, it's absolute perfection. I love wearing it during the summer when the sun here up north decides to show itself. I got it from Gina Tricot last year and I'm still happy with my purchase, layered it with a plaid shirt and denim vest for a chill and comfy vibe and topped it off with a pair of converses. Added a bunch of jewellery and I was off to enjoy my 2nd day at Secret Solstice.
For those who follow me on Instagram (@stylekrush) you might know that I spent the weekend in Malmö and Copenhagen. I was vising some relatives and friends; I had a great time and the weather was top notch! It was a great break from the rain and winds. I should be posting a few photos from that trip sometime this month, probably late July so stay tuned. xx

Day 2 of Secret Solstice: Saturday's line-up was far more appealing than Friday mostly because earlier I found out that Busta Rhymes was the secret headliner and also I was excited to see Foreign Beggars perform. I'd never heard of them before the festival and some of my friends were so stoked to hear that the pair would be performing on Saturday and I took their word for it and tagged along to the stage where they were performing at Truth be told I don't regret it any bit, I had the time of my life and they just gained a new fan. A little bit of inspiration on this beautiful Sunday afternoon to prepare you for the coming week. I'm already bored of my braids and I'm currently lusting after a huge over-the-top afro, I've been looking at hair on Aliexpress and I'm still contemplating whether to go at it or not because I'm not sure about the quality and so forth. If anyone has purchased hair from the site please let me know which sellers you bought from in the comments below. These days I'm all about the calm life, I've been practicing yoga at least 2-3 times per week, I hit the gym and try to meditate before bed; also I've been reading a lot lately which I'm happy about because I enjoy reading, it's how I get that 'me time', currently my shelf has a lot of unread books. This July I challenged myself to not go out clubbing and no alcohol except for a special occasion like birthdays or graduations and also a glass of wine at home with a good book is acceptable.

Happy July loves. It's strange to think that we're already in the 7th month of the year 2015. So far my year has been really good, I've been keeping the positive vibes going and all in all I feel great. I feel like I have grown as an individual and looking forward to the coming months. The weekend of 19th - 21st June was the Secret Solstice Midnight Music Festival and I attended all the 3 days seeing as it was the first time I was attending, and because of that you know I had to go all out with my OOTD's and make up; or at least I tried.
