Outfit | The little black dress

Happy Thursday lovelies!
We're once again closer to the weekend, by this time I aimed to have at least done a bit of Christmas shopping to avoid all the hectic stress that follows it in the months or November and December and also to not be broke by the holidays ,but somehow I'm still here empty handed. I need to work on my procrastination.
showing a little tongue action, I blame Miley lol
Blazer - Primark | Dress, Bag - New Yorker | Ankle socks - Topshop | Shoes - Amsterdam | Necklace - Previously mum's

From my "theatre night" outfit you saw this very same blazer I'm spotting here, this outfit was worn that very same night. After the theatre it was time to hit the town with my girls and so I switched the casual bottoms and top and headed for a  lace-y mini little black dress that I hadn't worn for a very long time.

Anyway as I had mentioned in my previous post, on the 29th it was my beautiful mother's birthday. This year I decided to  surprise her with something other than some perfume and flowers (which is something I've happened to give her for the past years lol) and instead I treated her to a relaxing massage at the Blue Lagoon to help relieve some back pains I've heard her complain about the past couple of months. Dad and I kept it a secret for the past weeks and yesterday after a long day of school for me and a long day of work for her we headed straight to the Blue Lagoon for the massages and (a glass of wine for mum). We had a really great time together and she seemed very happy, this morning all I've been hearing is how better her back feels and how soft her skin is lol.

If you haven't heard of the Blue Lagoon before; it's a geothermal spa here in Iceland with heated water from the ground, to me it's makes the list for the wonders of the world. They use very rich and natural products at the spa and to everyone that comes to visit Iceland, I highly advice you visit the place because it's pure heaven on land. It's magical! Check out their site below if you want to learn more about it.

Outfit | Primark Playsuit

Playsuit - Primark | Shoes - USA

Happy Tuesday everyone.
Here's an outfit from last week, it was so hard taking these photos on the balcony by myself thus the bad quality. Next time I'll try and take the outfit photos in some more interesting place haha.
Today's actually my mum's birthday and I have a very fun surprise for her tomorrow and I'll tell you all about it in the next couple of days.

Outfit | Theatre night

Blazer - Primark | Top - H&M | Bottoms - Outlet | Wedges - Amsterdam

Happy Sunday loves, not feeling too good so I'll be taking a day off from work. Yesterday I forced myself to go though and I just felt even worse at the end of the day so it's better for me to stay at home and get some rest. It's that time of the month again where there are a lot of assignments and tests at school so I'll definitely try my hardest and study a little bit. If you follow me on Instagram then you have probably already seen this picture of the outfit that I wore last weekend to the theatre with my parents. The play we had gone to was somewhat confusing hahaþ, apart from that it was a lot of fun and it was good to be finally doing something together with my parents.
I'm sure you're all sick of these wedges that I got last year when I was in Amsterdam. I just love them so much and they are always my go to shoes when it comes to nights out.

New In | L´oréal, Gosh, MAC & Topshop

L´oréal color riche S3 Disco Smoking: This eyeshadow palette was a gift from mommy, it was 50% off which was good. The colours are very vibrant and out there; might seem a bit scary at first but once applied and blended well they look amazing. I tried the black colour last weekend for a subtle smokey eye which turned out great. Will probably show you a picture or two as I happened to take a few photos just to see the outcome.

Gosh velvet touch lipliner (waterproof): A while back I had purchased a berry lip liner from Gosh called 'wild cherry' which later became my all time favourite liner. I used it almost every day and it suited any occasion whether it be school or on the night out. It lasted forever on my lips and I only needed to reapply once or twice depending or what I was eating. Unfortunately it got lost a few weeks back so I decided to buy another one, this time I opted for the red one as I wear a lot of red lipsticks. It's a vibrant red which I think will look good with anything and also against my skin tone. It's called 'simply red'.
MAC's studio fix powder plus foundation: My Smashbox powder broke so I needed to replace it with a new one and I opted for this one by MAC. It's in the shade NW48. At first I was going to purchase the NW50 one but it was out of stock and so instead I just went for this one as there isn't too much of a difference between the two. It fits me perfectly and I'm very content with my purchase, totally worth the money.

Topshop ankle socks: I've for the longest time been a fan of Samantha or otherwise known as Beauty Crush on YouTube and she also runs a beauty and fashion blog under the same name. I really like her style which is very laid back and grunge-y and just carefree. It always has a hobo twist to it as well which I adore. Most of the times you'll find Sammi wearing goofy and cute socks with her heels/boots which will be peeking at the ankles which is something I've grown fond of as of late and since I was in need of a few new pairs of socks I decided to try out the trend of socks with heels. It's not something new, many bloggers have been doing it.

Just a couple of things I've bought this month, I will also be starting my Christmas shopping soon to avoid the crazyness that follows during that time and also so I don't end up broke by the end of November and in early December. Today's my last day of my autumn break so I will be doing my nails, studying and enjoying some tea. What are you up to today?

Outfit | Inspired by Miley

Crop top - New Yorker | Shorts - Nostalgía | Wedges - Amsterdam

Good morning loves, today I'm coming to you with a look that I had worn last Saturday to celebrate a friend's birthday. I headed straight to the party after work, switched out the tights for bare legs and the vans that I had worn to work with these uber comfortable wedges. For work I had on a jumper and I switched that one out for a crop top. My goal was to feel free and just do me so I decided to try the pig tail buns to make the look more unique. I was ready in 5 minutes and I had a great time with my girls.
This look was inspired by Miley Cyrus, do you like it?

Music | 23

Hey ho!
my autumn/winter break has begun and I'm just chilling in bed listening to music and planning out some posts for the upcoming week. It feels so good just cuddling in my bed with a vanilla candle burning and making it feel like it's Christmas up in here.

23 (Explicit)

I don't know what's got into me lately but I've be overly obsessed with Miley. From her music to her style. After seeing her scandalous performance at the VMA's I was somewhat disgusted and just thought she had changed so much from her Hannah Montana days but then I came to the realisation that she's a 20 year old WOMAN which makes her an adult and she can do whatever she prefers with her life and career. I don't like her latest song Wrecking Ball because I find it to be too sad lol, although I really like We Can't Stop and this particular song 23, with Juicy J, Mike Will Made-it and Wiz. I've been listening to it constantly and I even became more obsessed with it after last weekend's shenanigans. I like how fun the video is even though it's a little too revealing hah.
If you haven't heard it before then click on the video and give it a goal cause it's a pretty good song to twerk to :)

09.22.13

09.22.2013
Hey hey, it's already the middle of the week and tomorrow is my last day of school as I will be having my autumn break Friday through Monday. It's my free weekend from work this which means I have 4 days free! It should be good to finally get the chance to sleep in and do something that doesn't involve school like maybe bake something, read a novel (for myself) and maybe watch more reality shows???
Thank you so much for the great feedback regarding my septum piercing, it's good to know from others that it suits me and also the compliments.
Ok, so I'm absolutely in love with our new apartment, we've got an amazing view and it's close to the international airport so don't be surprised if you see a thousand pictures of plans in the future because I'm  obsessed with them. I don't live in the capital anymore but I'm still in school there and all. I drive every single day and it's about 30-40 minutes drive (for me though it's always around 15-25 minutes). Although I plan on moving and renting either a studio or just a room in Reykjavík for the next 1-2 years because it's quite costly driving between places every day and I have to wake up extremely early.

see you in my next post.

Change is a good thing

H/M
Hey guys, hope you all had a good weekend because I did. Attended one of my friends's birthday and went out Saturday night. Look out for an outfit post in the next couple of days.
So there's something that I've been thinking of doing for a very long time now and that is getting my septum pierced. I've been wanting to do it for the longest time but never had the courage and thought to wait things out because maybe I was going through a phase that would eventually pass as time went by, boy was I wrong because about 2-3 years later I was still in love with septum piercings and still eager to get one myself so two weeks ago after school I took one of my good friends with me for support and just so I had someone to remember this moment with me. I got it pierced and it didn't hurt at all except for when like the little thing she put to prepare the hole wasn't really going through and she had to push it a little with her hands that was the part that hurt a  little. I shed a tear but it wasn't due to the pain but instead the excitement.
I had to wait a week before getting the ring itself and so I went in last Friday.
Top - H&M | Necklace - Claire's | Lipstick's by Smashbox

The moment I looked in the mirror I fell in love. Since then I've spent quite a lot of time just admiring my new accessory. Some people think it's a turn off or that I look like a cow or whatever but I could really care less about their opinion (hopefully I don't sound too conceited here but I try to brush off negativity from my life). It's understandable though that it might require a little more time to get used to it.
Anyway what do you guys think of it, cause I absolutely love it.

Autumn / Winter Season

Love the jacket and the colour to it is a extra added bonus.
I absolutely adore her skirt and the jacket.
Love what she's wearing although I wouldn't call this appropriate for the cold icealandic winter but with a few changes here and there but the reason I chose this picture is because of her lip colour and her septum. I love septums.
Happy Friday guys! It feels really good to know that I'm free from waking up early for school for the next two days. Since winter is right around the corner here I thought I'd show you guys some of the things that I'm loving and where I get my inspiration from. I'm addicted to tumblr and pinterest, not forgetting instagram because there are some really cool people on there with amazing style sense.
I'm currently at school but excited to go home and watch the latest episode of The Vampire Diaires, since my favourite show ever Dexter just ended I became really sad but then I realised that VD had started again and so all was better haha. I'm addicted to shows like it's all I do if I'm not studying or blogging or doing something else. I'm really loving dark lips, fur fur fur, leather and the structured coats for the autumn/winter season, which reminds me, I need to find a dark  lipstick for moi.
Have a great Friday loves.

Hola chicas!
So the weekend went by rather quickly this time around. My girls and I went out Saturday night and we had a blast. It's been long (2 weeks) since I last went out so it felt so good dressing up and putting on as much make up as I want and no one ever gave me the weird eye unlike if I had worn a red lip to school. Sunday was the usual hangover day and face pampering day. On the other hand when I woke up on Sunday I was in so much pain, my thighs were killing me (from the gym) and also I was wearing these heels for the first time after keeping them in my room for nearly 2 years. They weren't too comfortable and since I had worn them for a long period of time I somehow ended up twisting one of my toes and I feel it's paralyzed or something. I have this strange feeling when my feet touch the ground and it's been like this since Sunday, if someone knows what it could be then please let me know because it's driving me mad.

Craving | Autumn/Winter Coats

H/M
    Instagram | Tumblr | Pinterest | Lookbook | Twitter | Bloglovin

Autumn/Winter Coats
1. The jacquard coat by Zara - find it here.
2. The popper front boyfriend coat by Topshop - find it here.
3. Primark's pale pink coat.
4. Wool blend coat from H&M - find it here.
5. Zara's straight coat - find it here.
6. The 'Jeanie' textured front zip coat by Topshop - find  it here.

Yesterday I popped into Zara where I happened to try on a million of their fab winter coats. I'm telling ya I was like a kid in a candy store. All the fabric and the designs of the coats just made my little heart melt of just how gorgeous they were. I wanted to walk out of there with everything but of course that is impossible as I'm nowhere near being a millionaire haha. There was this one particular coat that was yellow and furry... man it was pretty. Okay, they were all very pretty but after trying on a couple of them and not really finding that 'one' that fits and squares me perfectly from every angle I walked out empty handed. I will return there though in the next few days to check again and also will keep my eye online too.
I really just wanted to show you guys these types of coats thus I picked a few of them from different stores so you guys would be able to find them if you're looking for something like this.

Now it's back to studying, 5 testings next week. Sometimes I feel as though my professors just load so much work on us deliberately or something. Anyway I hope you have a great Saturday and if you're going out tonight, make sure to stay safe!

New In | Trendnet & Maybelline Reykjavík Goodies

The Rocket Volum Express mascara - Maybelline
Express remover - Maybelline
Color show 'polka dots' - Maybelline
Color show 'bubblicious' - Maybelline

Seems all I do these days is win giveaways haha, anyway a week ago Trendnet.is (a platform for Icelandic bloggers) and Maybelline Reykjavík teamed up to host a giveaway on Instagram whereby those who participated had to hashtag #trendneglur (#trendnails) on their nail photos and everyday for five days they chose 5 winners who won a nail polish remover, 2 nail polishes and a mascara. The grand prize was 50.000kr which is equivalent to $412 which the winner got to spend on Maybelline goodies. I was part of the 5 day winners which I was very happy with because it was unexpected since there were about 800 photos taking part in this giveaway. I was ecstatic when I received the news on a Friday morning and my day went by pretty nicely that day.

These are my first ever nail polishes from the 'Color show' line so I'm excited to try them out and see how they wear, I will most definitely blog about them soon and show you guys some swatches as well. Also I've very excited to try the remover, heard about it before but never thought of trying it and since I've now got it FOR FREE I'm really excited to see all the hype about it and will of course let you know especially if anyone out there is interested in buying it.

Have a fabulous week lovelies.
