3 Last Minute Looks for NYE

It's finally New Years Eve which means it's time to put together an outfit for the magical night -or perhaps most of you already have an idea of what you'll be wearing. Myself I'm kind of a last-minute person and also this NYE for me will be spent working so the'll be no going out on my part. I put together three gorgeous outfits to inspire those who still have no clue as to what they want to wear.
NYE | Nude Trench

Outfit 1 // What I absolutely adore about this outfit is the trench coat, I mean how can one not? To me it appears to be the correct and perfect cut, colour and warm enough to wear on a cold night out. I decided to pair it with a nude loose blouse which can easily be switched up for a white one. A light bronze-y smokey eye would go well with the outfit and seeing as there's no sparkle, a sparkly pair of heels and a dark lipstick would polish the outfit nicely.

NYE | B e r r y

Outfit 2 // The items used above are quite expensive but I felt it wouldn't be a problem because this post is to inspire you with ideas and not for anyone out there to go splurge over $1.000 on a pair of sequined trousers just for the sake of it. Anyway, I really like the trousers above and I'll try to hunt down a similar pair for myself. I added a black fitted blazer to balance the look and added some burgundy accents like the lipgloss, nail polish and bag to bring out the berry colour in the trousers. A winged liner would settle the look very well in my opinion.

NYE | Classy ways

Outfit 3 // Look at how beautiful this ASOS dress is, from the bodycon to the spaghetti straps; it's literally perfect and affordable, which is always a plus. The look can be worn with tights or bare-legged, it's could be styled in a casual or fancy way, just go with whichever way floats your boat. A faux fur for warmth is perfect and the above navy one is not too overpowering and definitely leaves the dress to shine. Make-up wise, a dark sultry smokey eye would be suitable and finish off the look with either a red or nude lipstick. Personally I'd choose a red one because not all of us are into nudes... pun intended.

Hope this post was of help and remember, it's not all about owning the most expensive item but grasping inspiration from that expensive piece and adjusting it to your lifestyle by either styling an outfit based off of it or simply finding an alternative. It makes no sense to spend a fortune on a single sequined dress which you'll most likely wear once. My favourite time about the Holiday celebrations right behind stuffing my face is getting ready for the New Year. The thrill regarding the year upon us and the excitement of pampering myself and getting ready for a night out, last year was the first time that I ever went out as I usually prefer to keep myself warm in the comfort of my home. This year will be my second time out on the night for the celebrations and to continue the tradition I've put together 5 different outfits with 5 main pieces that I've focused on depending whether you're one to wear jeans, a dress, a skirt or would prefer a fab jumpsuit over anything else. In that case if you're blank on what to wear then keep on reading and hopefully you'll find one you like and can use it to get yourself feeling and looking fierce!
Untitled #46

Outfit 1: To kick start this post is a piece of clothing that has been surfacing the web and magazines quite a lot this year, the jumpsuit. I've always loved them and wished I was a tad bit taller to be able to wear them as I please but nothing a pair of stiletto heels or platform heels can't fix. I chose silver accessories for once to take a break from the golds, the fluffy bag is a great touch to the outfit as well as the blue hat for colour and to protect your hair from snow or rain depending on where you're located.

Beauty | NYE Sparkles

Hello hello, it's finally New Years Eve and after posting about some possible NYE outfits the last time, I decided to go ahead and write another post with even more sparkles but this time around it's all about the nails. Below I've chosen five polishes that I consider appropriate for the occasion although not all of them are sparkly. My fave of all of them is probably 'polka.com', it's just so pretty over pretty much any colour polish you can think of and works well on the accent finger too.

Maybelline Color Show | 197 Chalk Dust: this polish isn't necessarily a glitter polish but the flakes of it topped onto another contrasting colour will definitely make your nails stand out, it's a polish on it's own but I think it's better off added to another.

China Glaze | 1061 Mistletoe Me: another not-so-sparkly nail polish that is a gorgeous pink with a slight hint of sparkle in there. The application's very think and you can go on 'bout your day with just 1 coat but for me 2 coats is the way to go. This colour isn't too 'out there' so it's perfect for those who want a bit of colour but not over the top.
O.P.I | Sparkle-icious: my first ever O.P.I polish, after purchasing this very particular polish is when the nail polish addiction begun, today I own a little over 60 polishes which is insane and I'm sort of ashamed to even write that on here, of course it's nowhere compared to some nail polish collections I've seen on YouTube!
This polish's really pretty although it needs about 3 coats to cover the whole nail if applied single, the not so fun part is when it's time to remove it.
Sally Hansen | 450 Wedding Crasher: a very sparkly pink that applies well and needs only about 2 coats. Easy removal and not too expensive. The Sally Hansen nail brushes are amazing too, one of the best!
O.P.I | Polka.com: when the Euro Centrale collection by O.P.I came out this is the very first polish from the whole collection that really caught my eye and I bought it straight away, I've worn it a couple of times and it's just so pretty. I love all the different coloured flakes it contains and it looks really pretty topped onto another polish; especially a yellow one. I wore this on  O.P.I's 'Need Sunglasses' and got so many compliments.

That's it for today and hopefully this post can help some of you out there in search for the perfect glitter polish and I hope I'm not too late with it. Today's I'll just be relaxing at home, have dinner with the fam then meet up with the girls for our NYE shenanigans.
See you all in the new year and stay safe!

New Years Eve Outfits

As the new year is fast approaching I decided to put together a few outfits to inspire those in need (of a little sparkle). Most of the items used you probably already own or you have something very similar so make sure you raid your wardrobes before going out and spending a lot of money on a new dress or a sequined skirt that you probably won't even use too much.

New Years Eve #1
Outfit 1: this outfit is perfect for N.Y.E because it's very glam and classy. I chose a pretty black dress as that is definitely something most people would opt for and also it's something that probably already exists in your wardrobe so you don't have to go out and spend a huge amount of money on another dress. The fur will keep you warm as the night gets younger and watch will be there to keep time so you do not miss out on your midnight kiss.
New Years Eve #2

Outfit 2: I'm sure everyone already owns a tight mini skirt in their wardrobes, it doesn't have to be sequined but pretty much anything with some sort of design/print/embellishment will do for this look. The main focus of this outfit is this sequined skirt and I accessorised the whole outfit around the skirt, for shoes I went with these creamy pumps to bring out the pink/coral colour in the skirt and as for earrings I wanted them to stand out on their own so that's why I opted for these minty coloured earrings and the rest is black to tie down everything together.
New Years Eve #3

Outfit 3: this outfit is for my ladies that aren't too into dresses nor skirts but don't worry you can still be able to rock your pants on this special night by pairing them with a cropped top and some major necklace piece and also go bold with your lips and nails. Adding a touch of sparkle is a must and this clutch is perfect for that as it isn't too overwhelming and can fit your necessities. This jacket adds also the perfect amount of colour to the outfit itself and also it's long and cosy to keep you warm.
New Years Eve #4

Outfit 4: the ALL-IN outfit that will have you feeling like a celebrity. Pop on this gorgeous sequined piece, add some blue sparkles to your nails for contrast and also either go bold with your lips wearing a purple lipstick to avoid lookinh too matchy-matchy or you could stick to the nudes. Add on a pair of black heels and a clutch and you'll be ready to go; just don't forget your fur for warmth.

That's it, for this New Years Eve outfit I already feel myself leaning towards the sequined dress but not actually too sure because with this weather of ours one can never predict. Guess you'll just have to wait until the New Year to see what I wear and also let me know below what you'll be wearing and which one of these outfits you prefer.
