3 Last Minute Looks for NYE

It's finally New Years Eve which means it's time to put together an outfit for the magical night -or perhaps most of you already have an idea of what you'll be wearing. Myself I'm kind of a last-minute person and also this NYE for me will be spent working so the'll be no going out on my part. I put together three gorgeous outfits to inspire those who still have no clue as to what they want to wear.
NYE | Nude Trench

Outfit 1 // What I absolutely adore about this outfit is the trench coat, I mean how can one not? To me it appears to be the correct and perfect cut, colour and warm enough to wear on a cold night out. I decided to pair it with a nude loose blouse which can easily be switched up for a white one. A light bronze-y smokey eye would go well with the outfit and seeing as there's no sparkle, a sparkly pair of heels and a dark lipstick would polish the outfit nicely.

Outfit 2 // The items used above are quite expensive but I felt it wouldn't be a problem because this post is to inspire you with ideas and not for anyone out there to go splurge over $1.000 on a pair of sequined trousers just for the sake of it. Anyway, I really like the trousers above and I'll try to hunt down a similar pair for myself. I added a black fitted blazer to balance the look and added some burgundy accents like the lipgloss, nail polish and bag to bring out the berry colour in the trousers. A winged liner would settle the look very well in my opinion.

NYE | Classy ways

Outfit 3 // Look at how beautiful this ASOS dress is, from the bodycon to the spaghetti straps; it's literally perfect and affordable, which is always a plus. The look can be worn with tights or bare-legged, it's could be styled in a casual or fancy way, just go with whichever way floats your boat. A faux fur for warmth is perfect and the above navy one is not too overpowering and definitely leaves the dress to shine. Make-up wise, a dark sultry smokey eye would be suitable and finish off the look with either a red or nude lipstick. Personally I'd choose a red one because not all of us are into nudes... pun intended.

Hope this post was of help and remember, it's not all about owning the most expensive item but grasping inspiration from that expensive piece and adjusting it to your lifestyle by either styling an outfit based off of it or simply finding an alternative. It makes no sense to spend a fortune on a single sequined dress which you'll most likely wear once. Wishing everyone a happy New Year ahead of us!

First off I just want to thank every single one of you for the support this year. I'm not sure if I'll post anything else before the new year thus I'm thanking you now. Myself I had a very chilled Christmas, drank a lot of wine and ate way too much. Christmas in my house there wasn't any 'dressing up', I had on my comfy pants with an oversize sweater for comfort and just overall enjoyed the free time and used it to refresh my mind.

Current Favourite | Lancôme La vie est belle

La Vie Est Belle by Lancôme

This scent has been my favourite since back in October when I bought it. When I was at the airport departing from Berlin I got bored of waiting so I decided to check out the duty free and that's when it was literally love at first sight scent. There and then I knew that this perfume would be accompanying me back home and till this day I am happy it did. Also funny thing is that I'd actually written a wishlist which included this very same fragrance, but somehow I ended up forgetting about it till later. You can see the list here.

Now I am not one to stack up on loads of fragrances like I do with shoes (that is another story), because it will obviously take me ages to empty all the bottles which is why I casually keep them around 3-6 or so. That is more than enough for me. In case you do not already know, "La vie est belle" is French expression that means "Life is beautiful". The concept of this fragrance is centered on the idea of natural and simple beauty and the choice of one's own vision of happiness. It's all about finding joy and pleasure in small things in life which is what I love.

La vie est belle is: elegant, soft and glamorous and very feminine. It has a very intense scent without being overbearing, of course that is if used sparingly. I usually just spray very little and that goes a long way to even leave me smelling good all day long. It can last for as long as 8 hours without needing to apply more which is great because who really has the time to be reapplying their perfume every 2 hours? Not me at least.

How Would You Wear | Sparkle

One thing I've noticed lately about myself is that I love anything sparkly, it varies anywhere from a golden sparkly eye-shadows to sequined tops and sequined pants. I'm currently on the hunt for a sequined pair of wide leg pants; preferably one covered entirely in sequins!
I'm quite sure this isn't any news, but each month myself and a few other ladies come together on a theme of which to style an outfit based/inspired by that certain theme. The theme for December as you can see; is Sparkle. Putting together this outfit was relatively easy as I wanted this gorgeous sequined crop-blouse to remain the main focus of this ensemble.

Happy new week loves. Today's my last day off work and starting tomorrow I'm going in for 5 days straight and to be honest with you, I'm actually looking forward to it. I've been off for five days and I was starting to get bored so I tried to visit some friends and also did a bit of decorating at home. I wore this outfit on Sunday for a stroll at the mall only to end up eating and drinking my favourite Christmas coffee and leaving...

Winter Perfection

December Inspiration

And it's officially December, the last month of 2015. It's strange of think of it that way and as I reflect back to this year, to be honest with you all I'm happy with that I have achieved and done this year. I traveled a little bit and also met new lovely people. Today I wanted to share a simple outfit that's perfect for this season, the thick woolen trench coat is a must for every fashionista (I'm still searching for one that isn't overwhelmingly large on me...), it's perfect to throw on and high waist pants is something I've been loving a lot lately, I have two black pairs from Zara and when  wearing them I barely feel like I'm wearing jeans. That's how comfortable they are.
Add a few preferably accessories with colour to liven the look or simply go with your everyday handbag.

Would you wear this outfit?
