Beauty | NYE Sparkles

Hello hello, it's finally New Years Eve and after posting about some possible NYE outfits the last time, I decided to go ahead and write another post with even more sparkles but this time around it's all about the nails. Below I've chosen five polishes that I consider appropriate for the occasion although not all of them are sparkly. My fave of all of them is probably 'polka.com', it's just so pretty over pretty much any colour polish you can think of and works well on the accent finger too.

Instagram | Tumblr | Pinterest Lookbook | Twitter | Bloglovin
Maybelline Color Show | 197 Chalk Dust: this polish isn't necessarily a glitter polish but the flakes of it topped onto another contrasting colour will definitely make your nails stand out, it's a polish on it's own but I think it's better off added to another.

China Glaze | 1061 Mistletoe Me: another not-so-sparkly nail polish that is a gorgeous pink with a slight hint of sparkle in there. The application's very think and you can go on 'bout your day with just 1 coat but for me 2 coats is the way to go. This colour isn't too 'out there' so it's perfect for those who want a bit of colour but not over the top.
O.P.I | Sparkle-icious: my first ever O.P.I polish, after purchasing this very particular polish is when the nail polish addiction begun, today I own a little over 60 polishes which is insane and I'm sort of ashamed to even write that on here, of course it's nowhere compared to some nail polish collections I've seen on YouTube!
This polish's really pretty although it needs about 3 coats to cover the whole nail if applied single, the not so fun part is when it's time to remove it.
Sally Hansen | 450 Wedding Crasher: a very sparkly pink that applies well and needs only about 2 coats. Easy removal and not too expensive. The Sally Hansen nail brushes are amazing too, one of the best!
O.P.I | Polka.com: when the Euro Centrale collection by O.P.I came out this is the very first polish from the whole collection that really caught my eye and I bought it straight away, I've worn it a couple of times and it's just so pretty. I love all the different coloured flakes it contains and it looks really pretty topped onto another polish; especially a yellow one. I wore this on  O.P.I's 'Need Sunglasses' and got so many compliments.

That's it for today and hopefully this post can help some of you out there in search for the perfect glitter polish and I hope I'm not too late with it. Today's I'll just be relaxing at home, have dinner with the fam then meet up with the girls for our NYE shenanigans.
See you all in the new year and stay safe!

New Years Eve Outfits

As the new year is fast approaching I decided to put together a few outfits to inspire those in need (of a little sparkle). Most of the items used you probably already own or you have something very similar so make sure you raid your wardrobes before going out and spending a lot of money on a new dress or a sequined skirt that you probably won't even use too much.

New Years Eve #1
Outfit 1: this outfit is perfect for N.Y.E because it's very glam and classy. I chose a pretty black dress as that is definitely something most people would opt for and also it's something that probably already exists in your wardrobe so you don't have to go out and spend a huge amount of money on another dress. The fur will keep you warm as the night gets younger and watch will be there to keep time so you do not miss out on your midnight kiss.
New Years Eve #2

Outfit 2: I'm sure everyone already owns a tight mini skirt in their wardrobes, it doesn't have to be sequined but pretty much anything with some sort of design/print/embellishment will do for this look. The main focus of this outfit is this sequined skirt and I accessorised the whole outfit around the skirt, for shoes I went with these creamy pumps to bring out the pink/coral colour in the skirt and as for earrings I wanted them to stand out on their own so that's why I opted for these minty coloured earrings and the rest is black to tie down everything together.
New Years Eve #3

Outfit 3: this outfit is for my ladies that aren't too into dresses nor skirts but don't worry you can still be able to rock your pants on this special night by pairing them with a cropped top and some major necklace piece and also go bold with your lips and nails. Adding a touch of sparkle is a must and this clutch is perfect for that as it isn't too overwhelming and can fit your necessities. This jacket adds also the perfect amount of colour to the outfit itself and also it's long and cosy to keep you warm.
New Years Eve #4

Outfit 4: the ALL-IN outfit that will have you feeling like a celebrity. Pop on this gorgeous sequined piece, add some blue sparkles to your nails for contrast and also either go bold with your lips wearing a purple lipstick to avoid lookinh too matchy-matchy or you could stick to the nudes. Add on a pair of black heels and a clutch and you'll be ready to go; just don't forget your fur for warmth.

That's it, for this New Years Eve outfit I already feel myself leaning towards the sequined dress but not actually too sure because with this weather of ours one can never predict. Guess you'll just have to wait until the New Year to see what I wear and also let me know below what you'll be wearing and which one of these outfits you prefer.

Outfit | Dr. Denim Trousers

Bag, earrings - H&M | Peplum top - Primark | Trousers - Dr. Denim | Shoes - Amsterdam

Here's the outfit that I wore to dinner after relaxing at the spa last week. At first I was going to wear a black skirt but since it was freezing and windy outside I opted for these pants that I bought 2 summers ago from Dr. Denim, they were the first printed pants that I got and that's where my love for florals and aztec printed trousers began. I've got my other favourite ones from Zara but they got torn so I'm still trying to fix them and get them back to use.
These trousers are a definite go-to pair when you're feeling down in these winter months because your mood will change in no time with pretty floral designs like these have. And I just added the overly used blazer of mine to keep me warm.

Oh and what do you think of my hair, I braided one side and blow dried the other then styled it on the side, I was feeling it and ended up rocking this style for a whole week. I felt like Rihanna lol. Soon I might be getting braids again because I can't really be bothered with coming and tagging every day.

New In | Christmas Sweater

Sweater - Oasap

Good morning loves and Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.
Hope you're all having a lovely morning/afternoon/evening depending on where you are located in the world. My morning's been very chilled, woke up around 12 and I've just been lounging around the house reading blogs and once I'm done writting this post I'll get cozy in my bed with a book and some tea.
A few weeks ago I won yet another giveaway and this time around it was on my girl Diane's blog -Dee-vineanonyme.com, make sure you check out her blog cause she's one cool chick with dope style and hair, you won't regret it! The sweater came in last week but I hadn't had time to pick it up from the post office but now it's finally in my arms and I wore it on Christmas Eve, it's really comfy and cozy as it's a bit oversized on my petite figure. They'll be an outfit post coming soon.

Sóley Natura Spa

Cosy fireplace | Mum relaxing with a copy of VOGUE
Trying to be like Miranda Kerr (excuse the ratchet hair) | Relaxing by the fireplace

Merry Christmas eve everybody, my day has been very relaxing, this week I worked like a  maniac starting Wednesday until yesterday night, I didn't come home until 01:00 AM! I was so tired so I took a shower right before bed to help me sleep better; and I did because this morning I woke up around 01:00 pm and felt very well rested. The rest of the day I just hang indoors drinking tea, reading and eating a lot of cookies.

On Wednesday dad surprised mum and I with a spa day at the Sóley Natura Spa and one night stay at the Icelandair Hótel Reykjavík Natura which was very sweet of him and it was so nice to go and relax there with my mum straight after a hard day of work. We did a lot of chatting and reminisced this year that's coming to an end already. After relaxing at the spa we got ourselves ready and headed down town to have dinner. An outfit from that night will probably be up on the blog tomorrow or the day after so stay tuned for that.

I hope you guys had/are having/will have a great day/night with your family and loved ones and remember that Christmas isn't about gifts and all the materialistic stuff, even though it's fun to receive gifts. Christmas is about bonding over food and creating memories with your families.

Christmas is just 5 days away and it's so bizarre how fast time has gone because it feels like only a few weeks ago I was soaking up the sun, wandering the streets of Milan & Sicily and eating gelato. My results came in and I passed 5/6 which isn't too bad and it means I should be graduating around Christmas time next year. Hopefully everything goes as planned.
Today I wanted to show you guys some of the things that I'd like to buy in the coming months and all those Christmas sales coming up as well, I made sort of a 'mood board' of everything laid out for inspiration and so on. Lately I've noticed on a few beauty blogs and YouTube channels that everyone's been talking about the Naked 3 palette from Urban Decay, the colours are very earthy toned and pretty and I'm still searching for the best deal online, this palette and the ones earlier definitely need to be part of my make up collection as I really love gold/natural colours for both everyday wear and more fancier occasions.
These rings from Asos have also been tickling my fancy, they are currently out of stock so it's either to wait or find something similar. Then there are these Zara heels with the gold ankle strap that is such a great statement to such a simple shoe. It's a really pretty pair of shoes to add to one's collection especially if you're shoe craze like I am.

Outfit | The leather jacket

Had to snap a pic of my photographer's ootd as well.
 Jacket - Vero Moda | Cardigan, scarf - H&M | Bottoms - Gallerí | Shoes - Charity shop

Good morning lovelies!
Is everyone excited for Christmas? I'm mostly excited to be with my family even though I'll be working quite a lot. Also looking forward to those lazy days that are spent indoors doing absolutely nothing!
The pictures were taken after managing to pull an all nighter before an exam (that I passed) thus the reason why I'm wearing shades when it was like -5°C outside (but there was a bit of sunshine so I seized the moment). Since it was bright outside, I asked mum to stop for a bit and shoot a few outfit pictures as I was eager to feature this new found love of mine that is this leather jacket I'm wearing. I've been wearing it constantly! It's a pretty casual outfit and although it was cold outside, I still rocked the jacket for the beauty of it. If you follow me on Instagram then you probably know that I already got rid of these braids and rocking my natural hair. It's in a state where I'm actually loving it until it gets to the point where it's not as manageable anymore and I end up switching to something else, oh the struggle.
Are you done with your Christmas shopping, because I haven't even began!

Outfit | Coffee date

Jumper - Topshop | Disco pants - Thailand | Bag - H&M
Leather jacket - Vero Moda | Denim shirt - Outlet | Dress - Zara | Bag - Barcelona
 Shoes - Charity shop | Scarf - H&M

Happy Wednesday everybody!
I just got done with my finals earlier today, man does it feel good to be on break from all the textbooks and assignments. Sunday and yesterday I was up all night studying (the con's of procrastinating all day). Monday I had 2 exams, then went straight to my friends' to get ready and later in the evening we went to see Russell Brand's Messiah Complex stand up which was a lot of fun. My only regret's wishing I'd bought our tickets a bit earlier to get front row seats and then I'd have got to touch that sexy piece of ass him. Nonetheless it was a great day/night and I'm glad I took a 'break' from studying, it was very much needed.

These outfits are from last Friday, my friend Sisi and I decided to meet up after school for a bit of chitchat over coffee as we hadn't seen each other for the longest time. It was a very relaxing and chill time. I always carry my camera with me wherever I go in case I find someone who's willing to snap a few photos of my outfit haha. Hope you guys liked these. That day I woke up feeling like wearing a dress and so I popped on 2 pairs of tights, thick socks and layered the heck out of the whole look to keep myself was as it was around the -5°C! This surely kept me warm but a 3rd pair of tights wouldn't have been too bad of an idea.
Now I will resume to watching The Originals, I started watching the show right as the week of finals came; which was a very bad idea as I'm now madly hooked to the show. The other day I managed to watch 3 episodes!

Have a great week loves.

Outfit | Dinner Party

Exhausted at the end of the night...had a little bit too many glasses of wine.
Leather jacket, pleather skirt, top - Vero Moda | Shoes - H&M | Bag - H&M
 Earrings - Topshop | Watch - Casio | Lipstick - Maybelline

Here's the outfit that I wore featuring my new stuff that I'd showed you guys in the last post. It was a really black outfit so the red jacket and neon bag definitely kept the outfit a bit alive. As I said in my last post these shoes really need a break but I just can't seem to put them down. I loved my outfit and this skirt is a new favourite of mine, you'll be seeing it in many more blog posts to come so be prepared. I kept my hair in a huge bun just to let the details of the top speak for themselves and also I didn't want hair all over my face.
I'm now done with 2/5 of my finals, my next exam is on Friday so it's back to the books (more like pinterest, tumblr and all the other social sites).

Morning guys, so December's finally here and that only means one thing, eating lots of cookies, final exams of and cosy days indoors with your favourite book. This morning I woke up to the devastating news of finding out that one of my very favourite actors, Paul Walker has passed. Apparently him and another guy who had been driving lost control of the car and they crushed into a tree and the car caught fire. I can only imagine the pain that their relatives and family are going through... so sad and I'll most definitely keep their families in my prayers. The Fast and the Furious series will not be the same from now on.

On a brighter note, I've been studying a bit the past couple of days, but today I will definitely get into beast mode. I've got my first exam on Tuesday then the second one is the day after. This morning I started my day out but making some waffles for the fam with some hot chocolate, it's raining outside so it was only appropriate to do so. Lately I've been obsessed with interior design, especially bedrooms though I am constantly trying to change up my room as it's the place that I spend most of my time in and I have a tendency to make it very cosy, comfy and chic at the same time. Since we moved here I haven't yet put up any shelves or pictures up on the walls so that's what I plan to do as soon as I'm finished with my finals.
Above are just some inspirational photographs of what I have in mind for my bedroom.

Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend and now it's back to the books.
