Outfit | Blinged out cross

Sup! Finally an outfit post after posting about beauty related things 2 posts straight.
I'm feeling so good right now, will be seeing my boo this Thursday after being separated for a whole month. It wasn't too fun of an experience I must tell you. Although we managed to keep contact through the whole month. On Monday I begun in summer school, taking math 303 since I failed, I've also been working like crazy and there's just a lot going on right now; but it's good because I have a reason to get out of bed each rainy day. Talking about rain... it rained all of last week, every single day.

This outfit was worn on Monday, did a bit of walking with the bestie at the mall and we hit up the main shopping street in Reykjavík, Laugarvegur then later was summer school until in the evening. I didn't do much that day. As for the pictures, I took them myself with the help of my beloved tripod, my partner in crime lmbo. I opted for somewhat of a casual look but not too casual with the added blazer, I love the tank top so much it's so comfortable and easy to throw on. Throw out the blazer for a lightweight military jacket and add some Nike Free run sneakers instead of the Vans and you'll totally be looking rather in trend. I would also like to say that this outfit is somewhat inspired by Mr. Kanye West (btw love his music) he's been seen rocking a lot of these 'high low' pieces over his skinny jeans.

Later today I have class so I'm off to do something fun until then.
ciao!

p.s I was talking on the phone that's why I held it to my face and was all smiley lol

Currently Craving: Beauty#1

Hello beauts, as you probably already know. I have a side to me that loves make up and I've happened to talk about and hauled a couple of male up related items on the blog so it shouldn't be news to you guys. I have a tendency of becoming obsessed with things, whether it be a pair of shoes I spotted in Zara or a cute pair of earrings, I will not stop raving about that very particular product until either it has become a part of my collection or I've got bored of talking and thinking about it. Weird init?

So, these are my current craves, now that first lipstick is 'RiRi Woo' by MAC. My oh my how people went bonkers on Instagram when this lipstick came out, I watched a YouTube video where someone mentioned that they had waited for the lipstick to get back in stock for a whole 2 hours! I call that madness, I mean it's just a lipstick (although I'm a lover of lipsticks, I just found the idea to be crazy haha). Now I've also watched and read a couple of reviews regarding the lipstick and it's received quite a lot of mixed reviews. Some say it's the exact same thing as the 'Ruby Woo' lipstick by MAC and some say that it's more matte and what not. Anyway, point blank. I really like red lipsticks so I think I might just go get Ruby Woo since I've heard so many good things about it and obviously RiRi Woo was limited edition, I doubt I will be able to find it anywhere.

Also on my list is a perfect barbie pink lipstick that doesn't end up making me look like a messed up black barbie doll and I want to perfect my winged liner application. I've never been good at it but I'm definitely progressing.

Hey. Just wanted to show you guys some of my latest buys and gifts from the past month or so. Most of these are gifts and the rest I bought myself. My favourite is the white headset, I just love anything white and I'm currently searching for a perfect everyday white tee that I can easily throw on. Also I've been eyeing the gold lion necklaces that have been floating around the blogosphere and I happened to see one online a few days ago, who knows maybe I might just spot it in my next outfit post.

This week I've been working like crazy, will be working from today through  Sunday and then I'm free the weekend after that so I will use the time to maybe study hard if I will be taking up any summer courses... haven't quite made up my mind just yet.

Anyway I will see you guys soon, hopefully with an outfit post.

Review | The Body Shop's Tea Tree Blackhead Exfoliating Wash

What the packaging says: "suitable for blemished skin, exfoliates to help unclog pores for clearer looking skin".

This blog is dedicated towards fashion, beauty and lifestyle but I feel like I've sort of neglected the 'beauty' portion of it. I haven't really written anything regarding beauty products or such, so today I will be reviewing the exfoliating wash from The Body Shop.

I have been using this exfoliating wash for a little over a month now, I was very excited to use it and hoped it would clear my face but in all actuality all that happened is that my skin was left with dry (patches) around the cheek area. I was kind of disappointed since it's supposed to do good things. For me I just felt like it didn't make much of a difference. I definitely wont be purchasing this beauty product again; or at least not anytime soon. I used it regularly, a few days a week, sometimes even both morning and night. The dryness may have been a reaction due to maybe over excessive use of the exfoliator especially since it contains crushed apricot stones. Maybe that is the thing that caused the dryness and rough feeling of my skin after each wash.
Anyway, it just didn't work for me, but it might do the opposite for someone else. Don't mind my review, this is just an opinion of one individual, feel free to try it out and if you happen to have oily skin, especially in the T-zone and somehow the exfoliating wash works for you, please do let me know.

That's about it, please let me know below what you think of these, I still need to work on what I will be including in these sorts of posts. But I hope you enjoyed this one and hopefully it was helpful to someone.

Outfit | Graduation Party

 | Blazer - Primark | Skirt - 3 Smárar | Belt, Necklace - H&M | Bag - Thrifted | Watch - Casio | Ankle boots - Hagkaup  |

Hi, Happy birthday to me!!! Today I turned 19 and I feel no different than the day before. I thank god for adding another year to my life, I have experienced a lot the past year and grown a lot as a person. Now I have another year to do what I love and work towards achieving my dreams; which are quite more than a few.

Last night I attended a graduation of one of my work mates (who also used to be my class mate a few semesters back). The party was great and it was cosy actually, everyone seemed to have a great time.
I didn't even last till the end of the party since I had consumed quite an amount of alcohol and thus I ended losing my debit card and now I'm stuck unable to transfer the money from my card to another account due to some changes being made to my online banking, unable to call the bank so they can close that card since it's a holiday and everything is closed. Despite all of this bad luck, I've had a great day indoors (started watching LAHHA), been just chilling in my PJ's and this afternoon I received a very beautiful bouquet of flowers and a card sent to me from my lovely man J. (He's currently not home though, I won't see him until June). Somehow he managed to arrange this for my special day, I feel very lucky and blessed.

There's really nothing more to say... oh except that my beautiful mother is in the kitchen  preparing my favourite meal. She's making a traditional Zambian dish (nshima with chicken and veggies, make sure to follow me on Instagram to see the photo later). So yeah, I will end this here.

Oy! Happy Friday to you.
Feeling better than last time, in the morning mommy treated me to an early birthday treat... a full facial cleansing (man I have bad pores). Afterwards I went to the mall in search of my birthday dress and instead I ended up chatting up two of my very good friends, grabbed a bite to eat and we just sat there talking the entire time. Therefore I came home empty handed.
Recently I've been grasping a lot of info on how to better my outfit photos since I'm a solo blogger and rarely have someone to take the photos for me, or in my situation.. I don't feel like bothering my parents anymore.
I've had my tripod for a year now and it's finally been put to use. I went out today and worked my magic (ended up running back into the house though due to some workers whistling at me whilst posing for the pictures, they just stood there staring at me).

Oh, and as you see I'm spotting a new hair style, I love it. My second ever weave and it looks bomb.
My lovely mother (and my personal hairstylist lol) did it for me and I'm very pleased with the results.

Btw, are any of you lovely readers of mine fans of the vampire diaries? I just got done watching the season finale, wow, just wow. I was so shocked at the ending and now I'm left craving more. If you like the show, what are your opinions on this past season, exciting or boring?

Wishlist | Birthday Dresses

Wishlist | Birthday Dresses

Good morning my loves, as I mentioned in my last post,  I am in search of the perfect birthday dress for my 19th which is this coming Sunday. It's so weird to even think that in exactly a 1 year and 4 days I will be turning 20. I don't really want to grow up haha, I still want to be momma's little girl, the whole growing up, being independent thing kind of frightens me a little. On the other hand though, it's exciting because at 20 I will finally be able to get into even more clubs without using a fake ID or trying to shove my boobs up the doorbouncer's face (however, I've never stooped that low) I've got more respect towards myself than that.

Anyway as I was saying, I'll be 19 in 4 days and I still have no clue what I will do to 'celebrate' I'm not really much of a party person or doing 'this' and 'that' for my birthday. Let's wait and see what I settle for. I'm thinking of just going out for dinner with my parents and later maybe with a couple of my girlfriends. I have no clue what to do.

The picture above showcases some of my favourite types of dresses that I am looking into purchasing for my birthday. I want something feminine, enhances those curves and flatters my body. Last year I opted for a bright strapless orange midi dress with ruffles (see here). I'm embarrassed to admit that I've only worn it once, and never again. This summer though I'm planning on styling it different ways and show you guys.

Let me know below how you celebrated your 19th birthday or if you're still to turn 19, how would you celebrate your birthday.

Dinner Date | Leather skirt & Floral blazer

Friday Dinner Date

Hi, so today I had my math exam, boy it was even more difficult that I expected. I was in that room the whole entire time and I still did not manage to finish it, although I can say that I gave my all and let's hope for the best. On Monday I have will be having the last and final exam and it will be in French 403, my last French course, whoop! Bien Bien lol

I was all cute for school today but unfortunately did not take any photos so instead I decided to play around on Polyvore and since today is Friday which is one of the common 'date night' days where lovers go out and enjoy over a good dinner or so; I decided to create a 'Friday Dinner Date' outfit which is very girly, blingy and floral at the very same time. I love this look and if I had a leather skirt I would definitely be rocking it, although I would most definitely need to make some adjustments here and there as I do not own the SAME exact items.
I adore this look very much, let me know your thoughts down below.

p.s. make sure to follow me on Instagram as for daily pics!

And we meet again, hello my lovely ladies and gents, hope everyone's well.
It's been a quite long since the last post but I'm guessing you all know why. I have just been very busy with work, school and going some some tough personal issues, it got to a point where I could not handle the stress any longer and therefore locked myself in my room most of the times crying.

All is good now though and I'm feeling great, I've been seeing a Pakistani/Indian therapist/herbal doctor who helped me figure out what was wrong with me and why I had been sick for the past half year and it feels great to wake up every morning without any major sneezing nor headache. Guess I had a lot of muscle tightening right on the back of my neck which was causing the headaches, she massaged my whole body for a good 60 minutes and the next day all the pain was gone. From  now on I will be pampering myself at least every 2 months for a spa day to keep myself healthy.

My summer break is just around the corner , I have only 2 more exams, one on Friday and the last one on Monday. I still haven't been able to find a summer job but I will keep my eyes out.
That's about it for today, I will  return back to my mathematics.

Have a great day! xxx

p.s I doubt there will be any outfit posts soon because I'm really slacking in the style department and what I have been wearing the past couple of weeks isn't blog-worthy.
