Pharrell Williams Happy - We Are Happy: Bloggers Edition

Happy Monday loves! Hope your weekend was eventful, I just got done with a  12 hour shift at my new work place for the summer, I'm now working from the international airport which is exciting. It's a pretty tough job but so worth it and very fulfilling. I'll be there the rest of the summer and then it's back to school in August.

Anyway earlier this month I got asked by the lovely Diane of  http://dee-vineanonyme.com/ to be part of her take on the 'Happy' song by Pharell Williams, she decided to make a bloggers version of the song and it was so much fun recording this, I regret not making it longer though...
It was such a great experience for me and more lovely to see all the familiar faces in the video, I felt as if I knew them in real life. Thanks Dee for putting this together and making it happen, hope you guys like the video and it brights a smile to your face and don't forget to check out Diane's blog and the rest of the bloggers' blogs that took part in this awesome project. xo

Coat (Blend Women) - Krummaskúð | Top & boots - H&M | Necklace - Velvet.is | Bag - Zara (old)

Last Tuesday was Iceland's 70th independence day and in honour of that very special day I invited my parents to my favourite Italic restaurant, Caruso. We enjoyed our late  lunch there whilst watching the parade in the main street Laugarvegur through the window where we were seated, it was perfect because it was raining the entire day. Later on I set myself free from the parents and met up with one of my girlfriends, we had a stroll through the streets and had some coffee.

In the morning it was very gloomy outside so I knew I wanted to look put together and at the very same time keeping myself warm. My love for this Blend coat is still going strong and I pretty much styled my whole outfit off of it and added some colours with the necklace and bag that I recently purchased off of Facebook.

 Dress - Sheinside | Wedges, bag & earrings - H&M | Necklace - Velvet.is | Bracelets - 3 Smárar

Good morning, hopefully everyone had an awesome weekend. The past two days I was free from work and I used the time to catch up with my always needed sleep, yesterday was Iceland's 70th independence day and although it was raining we still managed to go out and celebrate. I invited my parents for late lunch at one of my favourite Italian restaurants, Caruso. The food was so good I nearly licked off my entire plate... that's how good it was! Later on we headed to the gram's for coffee and waaay too much cake.

This is the Sheinside dress I showed you guys here, my girls and I went out the weekend before and that was my first time in forever. I've just been focusing on myself and working more towards my future than going out and being all hangover the next day. The necklace is the blue one from my latest 'New In' post and the gold goes really well with most of my jewelry seeing as they are 'golden'. I really loved wearing this dress, very light and not clingy, if you live in a windy place like myself then I suggest that you wear some cycling pants inside so your goodies aren't on show. Stay classy ladies.

World Cup 2014 Fashion || Part 1

World Cup Look #1
The weekend went by very fast, didn't even feel like a weekend really seeing as I've been working straight the last four days. The World Cup's begun and I cannot tell you guys how much I'm excited for this moment, I've always been a huge football fan (please don't go on commenting about how it's called soccer and not football, we come from different continents...). I happen to have a few favourite teams and I'll talk about them in another post, it's always a pleasure seeing one of the many teams that I support go through to the finals, the last World Cup was amazaaaaazin seeing as my favourite team got the title of World Champions!

This first outfit is very casual and laid back, there's been a lot of rain and so a raincoat or umbrella would be necessary although probably uncomfortable for those sitting behind and next to you. A hat would be fine, it'd get wet but wouldn't be too much in the way of others as an umbrella would.

World Cup Look #2

For the 2nd outfit I chose a light flowy white dress with a sweetheart neckline, perfect summer item and add a few earth toned accessories and you're all ready for the game while still being stylish. Add a scarf of your favourite team or do it through your face make up. A raincoat is a must to keep your pretty dress from being ruined!

Anyway I've got even more football game appropriate outfits planned as the competition goes on so stay tuned if you'd be interested in seeing more. Do you guys watch as much football as I do? Because my whole family we even stay up late to watch a game despite having an early start the very next day; that's how dedicated we are.

New In | Statement Necklaces

Feather rhinestone necklace | Geometric stones necklace

Seems these days all I do is shop, I'm just getting ready for summer and updating a few things in my wardrobe as well as my jewelry. These two gorgeous necklaces are perfect colours for this season and they are great statement pieces to add to and uplift any fancy or more casual outfit. I've already worn the blue necklace and I just fell it love. Hopefully an outfit coming soon, that is if my phone stops playing me.

New In | [VOGUE x GOSH]

April VOGUE | GOSH eyeliner in Stone | Aztec phonecase
Happy Sunday! Today's a holiday here so I spent the whole day sleeping and later in the afternoon I made some really good waffles with chocolate. Man they were so yummy! Last night the girls and I went out for the first time in a looong time, everyone's been so busy with work that we barely had time to even meet for coffee or anything, but finally yesterday we made something of our free day and went out on the night and we had a great time. The weather was really good this time, no rain or wind and it was even sunny so you know the legs went bare.
Garnier pore purifying toner: leaves your skin feeling fresh and tingles a bit on sensitive spots.

Clean & Clear blackhead clearing daily scrub: works well and has microbeads that help scrub away the dead skin. I feel even though it's a daily scrub it's a bit too rough on the skin to use every day so maybe every other day and alternate with just a clear face wash to be good to your skin.
I'm slowly but surely becoming a lipstick junkie, in my last blog post which was my favourites post, I showed you guys my favourite nude lipstick called '86 kitch' by Gosh. I've been using that lipstick so much in the past 2 months or so that I had to go get myself two more lipsticks in a kitten pink and a coral one. The Kitten Pink one is a definite dupe for the Viva Glam lipstick from MAC. I've still got to use Shocking Coral and I plan on reviewing these two products after further more use.

Wishing you all a very peaceful and joyful Sunday with your loved ones and don't forget to bring the positive thoughts into the coming week. Now imma grab myself a cup of tea and socialise for a little bit :)

Vintage Ralph Lauren

Jacket - Vero Moda | RL vitange polo - Spúútník | Shorts - Nostalgía | Tights - H&M
Socks - Topshop | Vans

Finally after a very long wait and many phone calls my computer's back. Man life was really hard without it, I feel like I sort of missed out on the social net even though I had another computer that I was using; it's just that it's not the same as using my own. Anyway these photos were supposed to be posted a loooong time ago but they are here now. It was all about comfort and not stacking on too many things :) My week will be spent working seeing as that's what I do these days. Have a good one!xx

New In | Sheinside & Blend

Fuzzy jumper - Sheinside | Coat - (Blend) bought it in a store called Krummaskúð

Got the fuzzy jumper along side this dress off of Sheinside. It's cosy and comfortable and most definitely the perfect item for cold weather. I've already got another similar jumper to this one which I'd bought in Gina Tricot, it's the reason I decided to go for another one but in a different colour.

I cannot rave enough about this pretty coat above, I'm just really in love with it and don't regret my impromptu purchase I did with it. I just felt it was an any occasion or weather appropriate coat and it really goes with everything in my wardrobe. My favourite way of styling it though is with some jeans, a pair of really high wedges and a cute top with a cross body bag with my hair in a topknot. Ahhh.

xx

Inspiration | June '14

Happy Sunday! June's here and it's time for an inspirational post with things I want or simply something I've been admiring. I'm going to try and minimize the grays and darker tones this month and bring in a bit of floral and more brighter tones. I do have some colourful things but very rarely wear them so that's my challenge for June, to wear more colour. Also I want to wear my hair more down instead of the nonstop topknot of mine.
Tell me below what you're in the mood for this month!
