My favourite time about the Holiday celebrations right behind stuffing my face is getting ready for the New Year. The thrill regarding the year upon us and the excitement of pampering myself and getting ready for a night out, last year was the first time that I ever went out as I usually prefer to keep myself warm in the comfort of my home. This year will be my second time out on the night for the celebrations and to continue the tradition I've put together 5 different outfits with 5 main pieces that I've focused on depending whether you're one to wear jeans, a dress, a skirt or would prefer a fab jumpsuit over anything else. In that case if you're blank on what to wear then keep on reading and hopefully you'll find one you like and can use it to get yourself feeling and looking fierce!

Outfit 1: To kick start this post is a piece of clothing that has been surfacing the web and magazines quite a lot this year, the jumpsuit. I've always loved them and wished I was a tad bit taller to be able to wear them as I please but nothing a pair of stiletto heels or platform heels can't fix. I chose silver accessories for once to take a break from the golds, the fluffy bag is a great touch to the outfit as well as the blue hat for colour and to protect your hair from snow or rain depending on where you're located.

Brunch at Sky Lounge & Bar
2014 is almost over and as aforementioned in this post I told you guys that on the 20th of December I received my upper secondary certificate and I'm officially ready to go to University. I'm just stuck on what exactly to study because I don't want to waste my time doing something that doesn't interest me and then having to later change courses and all that jazz. This was my my main goal of this year, to graduate and to be able to do so I had to devote my time and hard work into it by taking way more classes than adviced so that I could make it, and I DID IT.

It's almost Christmas and I didn't manage to prepare all the Gift Guide posts I had planned in time for the Holidays but here's the last set and it's for the beauty blogger or those with devotion to cosmetics. I tried to gather together beauty products that I think any beauty junkie out there would love, it's everything from fragrance, to nail polish, to lipstick, to the shower gels. And an organic lip scrub for the perfect pamper night. These are all quite well known brands and it shouldn't be too hard for you to get your hands on one in case you still have some last minute shopping to do. It's been fun doing these and I wish I had posted more because I had a whole lot planned but the timing just wasn't right, guess there's always another time. I'll now continue snuggling in my cosy bed catching up on missed episodes of my favourite series.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! xx

How Would You Wear | Christmas Party Outfit

I'm so thankful to GOD for this day in particular because I've finally concluded my Upper Secondary/High School/Gymnasium (Iceland always finds a way to complicate things), after 4 years of struggling but I made sure to never think of quitting or taking a year or one semester break which for many I've noticed ended up turning into a whole 2 years of "break". Here we call it Menntaskóli, a completion of the 4 year program provides you with ' stúdentspróf ' which is our version of a upper secondary certificate which is required for entry to most universities in Iceland. And since it's similar to a college and it pretty much determines your future, I will say that I 'majored' in Business and Economics. More about the topic in another post.

Continuing with the Gift Guide segment, the second part is going to be on gifts to give your man and even your dads depending on what their hobbies are. In case you missed the first post, you can read it here. I usually have difficulties finding gifts for men, so I always lean towards clothing and fragrances/colognes. I love giving gifts that smell good. But for this post, trying to avoid a post filled only with different brands of colognes, I decided to add in a few other items as ideas such as the famous Daniel Wellington watch, a pair of leather converses and the most talked about thing right now, the FIFA15 game and PS4. A messenger bag would also be a great gift for they can use it to bare their photography equipment and laptop, also the  burnt brown colour's just perfect.
Hope this helps some of you out there. xo

New In | MAC VIVA GLAM |||

 MAC Viva Glam 3

The other day while taking a break from books I was treated to my first ever MAC lipstick, I opted for the the 3rd edition from the Viva Glam range, as you probably already know, MAC is a tad more on the pricey side. The good thing about the Viva Glam lipsticks is that all profit is do nated to the MAC AIDS fund to support those affected which I'm very happy about, In a sense I'm seem like I'm spending what others might call 'unnecessary' money on a lipstick but instead I look at the bright side of things, I helped a great cause. And on the 1st of December which was World AIDS day, I attended the celebrations that HIV Iceland held, most of the MAC ladies were there all rocking the dark berry lips and bold brows... This year the HIV Iceland gathered in a total of ISK2.000.000 (~ $16.200)! It's a lot of money and I'm proud to have chipped in. I will now continue this study break of mine a watch a couple of re-runs of The Originals (I cannot get enough of Klaus).
Qotd: Do you own any MAC lipsticks, if so any Viva Glam one?

Monthly Favourites | November

NIP+FAB foot cream // Thierry Mugler Mugler Show Eu de toilette // Atrix hand cream
Clarins moisturiser // Bath & Body works hand gel // Blistex lip balm
Urban Decay Naked 3 palette // Nivea roll-on // Bobbi Brown foundation stick
Sleek lipstick // Maybelline Linerefine eyeliner [brows] // Essie [off the shoulder]

Having not posted any monthly favourites as  of late I decided to do one for the month of November seeing as I was loving quite a lot of things. Mind you some of these item you've mostly likely already seen on here before. First comes one of my top five foot creams out there and it's from NIP+FAB, it's very moisturising and perfect to keep your legs smooth and soft especially in this cold. A while back I'd posted a review of both the Clarins daily moisturiser [here] and Sleek lipstick [here] so to get more in-depth thoughts regarding them, go ahead and open the links. For school I've found myself rocking neutral eye shadows and topping them off with my favourite Gosh liner, thus I've been getting a lot of use from the UD Naked 3 palette and lastly is the Thierry Mugler Mugler Show eu de toilette, I've almost drained the entire bottle and it's not long ago since I got it. It's a more summery scent than winter nonetheless I've worn it non-stop.

Hopefully everyone's having a great week and looking forward to the weekend, I have my first final tomorrow and it's in Mathematics... I'm dreading it and have been studying like a maniac the past days. My weekend will be spent soaking in books so I probably won't be back on here until late next week when I'm finished with my finals. Good luck to everyone who has exams week. xx

December is here and that means there's approximately three weeks until Christmas. My excitement this Holiday season is a bit different, that is because I will be graduating on the 20th of December. I'm very excited as you can imagine and looking most forward towards using the rest of the dark months just lounging in at home and to just make decisions of the next steps in my life. More about that later though because this is not a post about my life goals, it's about helping you guys out there who have yet to begin your Christmas shopping.

Happy Sunday lovelies! I just came from the gym and I thought why not share 10 of my current favourite songs to workout to. For me I cannot be at the gym listening to Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga's duets, I need something loud and that pushes me and gets  my adrenaline pumping. I tend to listen to Eminem a lot and Techno music as well as 'twerk' songs. Those are the types of songs I find myself gravitating towards when I'm doing my daily workout. If you go to the gym, which kind of music do you prefer listening to and do you listen to any of the songs above?

Review | TEA TREE FACE MASK

Tea Tree Face Mask - The Body Shop

This week was by far the fastest, I can't believe it's already the weekend. I'm not at all complaining though, because tonight I will be attending a annually dinner party at my old workplace which I'm pumped about and I'm still in trouble with what to wear, guess you guys will have to see my outcome in a later post.

Today I  will be reviewing the Tea Tree face mask from The Body Shop. A while back in this post, I was contemplating on which face mask to try out and seeing as the tea tree one was the most accessible to me, I decided to start out with it and move up from there. It consists of menthol, tamanu oil, lemon tea tree oil and Community Fair Trade organic tea tree oil and it's described as: "suitable for blemished skin and instantly cools and lifts away impurities." I agree about 79,99% with the description seeing as I have problematic skin and no matter how much I hate someone I wouldn't recommend them to put lemon+menthol on their face, especially if they have breakouts without a good reason because every time I use this mask my face feels like it's on fire! On the other hand I do feel like the product actually works because in the 1 month that I've been trying it out (weekly), my skin feels a lot cleaner and fresher than before. It mightn't yet be 'perfect' but it's sure coming along. I guess lemon + menthol do indeed work well together.

Ways to use it: apply generously to clean face and neck and leave on for 10-15 minutes ( I usually leave it for longer, I would study or watch a show in the meantime). Lastly rinse off with clean water. Recommended use is once a week because it you use it too much you're likely to strip your skin of it's natural oils.

Do any of you ladies and gents have experience of this face mask, if so let me know below.

SUNDAYS

"If you continuously compete with others, you become bitter, but if you continuously compete with yourself, you become better."

Sundays are pampering days, days to prepare oneself for the upcoming week and seek inspiration. On Sundays I try to go to the gym (especially if I went out the night before), make myself a healthy breakfast with fresh juice, pamper myself with a face mask and do my nails and it always ends with a some kind of assignment work, which is typical for a full time student.

Yesterday was the first time ever of me going out for Halloween and being the party pooper that I am; I didn't dress up as a corpse bride or a slutty nun or anything of that sort, but just the usual going out 'fit. I don't do Halloween and I don't think I'll ever DO it anytime soon. I came home at 05:00AM and when I woke up I managed to drag my dead-looking self to the gym for an hour and a half of full body workout, it felt great and I recommend more people to do so! xx

Outfit | Zambia's 50th Independence Party

H/M
Blazer - kolrassa // Chitenge/ankara shirt - Zambia // Skater skirt - Vero Moda
Wedges - H&M // Earrings - Leonard

If you are following me on the gram, you might have seen that this past Saturday I attend a party to celebrate my home country's jubilee. We organized a little get-together for close friends and family seeing as there are so few of us in Iceland; at least those we know (people still don't understand why I live here lol). Maaan the food was so good and I made sure to stuff myself with all the chicken and beef I could handle because later that same night I went to see Hopsin in concert. It was his 3rd time here and I always missed out on the first two concerts, but this time I made sure to show up and on TIME.
At the end of the Zambian party I switched outfits to a more warmer one, you can see a picture on my Instagram @stylekrush. Overall I had a very eventful weekend and it got my mind off school for a bit but now I'm stuck with a workload to get through...

Inspiration | Baby it's cold outside...

Untitled #39

The first day of Winter isn't even yet here and it has already started snowing.  I have mixed feelings about this seeing as I hate the rain/winds that come with snow but on the other hand I love being able to put on as many layers of clothes as I'd like and not feel like a roasting potatoe. But I'm excited,  only 6 more weeks to (hopefully) my graduation and I'll be done with school, now the stress begins of what to study at Uni for the future...that part stresses the crap out of me but I'm going to take time deciding because  I would rather do something I love later on without a hurry than rushing into a career I will later get bored of and live the rest of my adult life miserably.
Anyway as seen above I'm loving grays (and need to stock up), navy and plum lips, I've been wearing these three shades very much as of late. What are you loving for the cold months?

How Would You Wear | Mixed Prints

Earrings - Six | Playsuit - H&M | Skirt - Gyllti Kötturinn | Heels - Nine West

Happy new week! Today I'm coming to you with another outfit as part of the group myself and other bloggers are in whereby each month there's a different theme agreed upon and our goal is to put together an outfit based upon that very theme. The creator of the group is - Diane (DeeVine Anonyme) , make sure you check out her blog for all things fashion and some pretty dope nail art designs!

For this month our theme was Mixed Prints and I opted for my beautiful vintage chiffon/pleated skirt that I wear very little so I decided to bring it out this time and also I wanted to go  more for a feminine look, added a playsuit from H&M as a top because of the romantic hearts print on it. I didn't want to add a blazer or jacket because the pictures were taken inside and I just wanted the focus to be on these two pieces. What do you think of my take on this fun theme?

And here's a picture of all the beautiful bloggers that took part, check out their blogs below and do show them some love.

Review | Clarins Daily Energizer Cream

 Clarins Daily Energizer Cream

This right here has literally been my savior for the past month or two. When my last face cream finished I knew I wanted something more 'high end' if you would prefer to call it that, and I think I found just the perfect product for my dry and very sensitive highly acne prone skin.
I'm talking about the CLARINS Daily Energizer Cream - it moisturises the skin and works towards diminishing imperfections to provide young skin with a healthy-looking radiant complexion. The best thing about is that it's non-oily because my skin is already very oily so I don't need to pile on more oil to it, the cream's rich in vitamin C and a few plant extracts like turmeric.

For the entire month + that I have been using it I have noticed a change in my skin and feel as if my foundation even stays on longer till it starts melt off. It's by far one of the best that I've tried (so far!) and trust me, I have tried my fair share of different brands because I'm always on the hunt for that 'perfect one'. Only con regarding this product would be to the fact that you need more that a pee-size for it to cover your entire face (at least for me) because I always need to feel that something is applied to my face.

Have any of you other beauty bloggers tried this product, or other Clarins products for that matter and what is your thought on it/them?

Inspiration | Perfect Autumn 'fit

I recently purchased the perfect white high rise jeans from Zara - you can see them here. I've been wearing them a lot and this is one of the ways I find perfect to style them while still staying warm this autumn. The denim shirt (or any kind of shirt for that matter) will look great and add different texture and colour to the outfit. The black jumper and the rest of the accessories are to tie down the look together, add some gold jewellery and you're ready to step out.
Today I was too lazy to wake up for school so I'm going to study from home, gonna hit the gym now to freshen myself up,prepare my cup of black coffee and then it's straight to my books. x

Review | Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Smother

What better way to start the weekend than with a review of my favourite lipstick of the moment?
This gorgeous a colour is a Sleek Make-Up product from their True Colour Lipstick line and it's called Smother. The lipstick is described as "highly pigmented and conditioning to keep lips soft and supple", with that I agree, it's very pigmented than most lipsticks I've tried before. It's a sheep deep purple enriched with vitamin E which helps with keeping your lips hydrated as well as protecting them too, it's very easy to apply and literally glides on your lips without force.

I think this lipstick is suitable for a lot of skin tones as long as you know how to apply it - perhaps for a more pale individual it would be better to not have it too full and dark, but instead only put on a slight tint just for colour. Or do the opposite and it might actually look really good. It's all after one's preference and we all shouldn't be afraid of colour. Autumn/Winter is the time to try out all the dark and vampy-like lipsticks that you've been pondering on whether to try or not so do seize the moment.

Overall I have no complaints regarding this lipstick, it's like any other whereby eventually during your day/night you'll need to reapply to keep your look sleek and fresh.
