Everyday Sparkle

Trench - Vero Moda // Trousers - Gyllti Kötturinn // Heels - Zara // Bag - Monki

Hello again! I just wanted to pop in and let you guys know that I'm still alive. I started Uni and it's definitely taking its toll on me, I have endless work and projects to finish in such a short period of time and soon I'll be having my first exams after almost a 2 year break from books! Because of that, I felt I needed to take a break from blogging and focus on getting my routine together. I honestly have no idea how to balance the two, so for now I'll definitely stick to posting on here whenever possible.
Today's outfit is one I wore a while ago for a friend's surprise birthday party. I wore my trusty leather pants with a sequin crop-top and topped it off with a trench jacket.

Till next time! xx

Maxi Skirt

Shirt - Zara // Top & bag - Monki // Skirt - H&M // Shoes - Converse

Yesterday I was my second orientation day and it was an all day excursion in the city centre. We started the day off by going on a canal cruise and then there were a few games along the way, as well as a visit to the Madam Tussauds Museum. At the end of the day we all met up at well-known pub called Het Schuim for a few beers before biking back home like the pro's we are becoming.
Since I knew it would be a long day of walking all around the city, I styled my outfit accordingly and went for a comfortable pair of chucks, a long skirt that's very light and a flowy top. I love this skirt so much and I had to get it in black too. Will hopefully show you that soon.

Till next time. x

Dining at Argentína Steikhús

H/M
Happy Sunday! Last Friday mum took me to a restaurant called Argentína Steikhús seeing as I'd just completed my last shift at work for the summer and also it had been long since the two of us went out for dinner. It was my first time eating there and I had such a great experience, I'll definitely be going back for their white chocolate mousse dessert. We were there for almost 4 hours just chatting and indulging in scrumptious dishes.

Boots - Monki

I love all sorts of animal prints, but I seem to be more fond of cheetah print. I own quite a collection of cheetah printed items ranging from jeans, wedges, scarves, blouses/tops to earrings! I'm surprised I don't own a cheetah printed bag somewhere. Anyway I love the print especially as a eye-catcher, it makes a great accessory for adding a bit of life to any look. I snagged the pair above in a sale and I've yet to wear them. They are pretty and bit too wild for some people out there but it'd look perfect with an all black outfit. I'm excited to wear them.

What animal prints are you crazy about?

Get The Look | Rihanna in Paris

It's been long since I last blogged and there's a good reason for that. These past two weeks have been quite hectic, if you follow me on Instagram you might know that lately I haven't really been home much. At the beginning of the month I went to Copenhagen for 5 days where I was visiting a friend who I hadn't seen in over 2 years and also we were having her birthday celebrations so you can imagine how little time I had for blogging, plus I was hangover a majority of the time I was there. After that I went back home for 2 days and then last Thursday mum and I flew to Amsterdam where we are currently, this was a University/mother-daughter related trip. Today's out last night and we have an early flight tomorrow so I'll be very tired once we get home :(

Moving on to the purpose of this post, it's the second post from my 'Get The Look' segment where I recreate outfits I see on celebrities or anywhere on the web for a lot less. In case you missed the first post you can find it here where I recreated a look from Rosie Huntington. Today's look is inspired by the always fashionable Rihanna, she wore this look during PFW and I just loved how laid-back yet stylish she looked; which is something I seem to be gravitating more towards these days. I fell in love with her hair and the oversized leather and shearling jacket and decided to come up with my version of the outfit and this is the result, I feel my look is more simplified that hers. Would you wear this outfit?
