Good evening, I'm back with the final installment of my Berlin Travel Diary. In case you missed out on the first two posts, they can be found here - part 1 & part 2. There's nothing much to say apart from thanking all you frequent and new readers for showing so much love. It's always great to get feedback from all you ladies especially when it comes to outfits because I love hearing both what ways you'd re-style a certain item and it ends up inspiring me to style that same item differently the next time I wear it, and for that I just wanted to say THANK YOU.
In case you missed out on my last 'summer trends' post where I created an inspired outfit featuring a gorgeous yellow lace dress - you can find it here. Today though, I wanted to share with you a second look and this time it's the most talked about trend of the season, off-shoulder. I opted for a playful baby blue dress to switch things up, if I were to wear this outfit, I'd probably try to go for the same look as above just to keep everything minimal while staying stylish. Another alternative would be to ditch the wedges for a pair of sneakers and a brown cross-body, which would be an ideal outfit for a outdoor festival.
Also a while ago myself and a couple of other ladies collaborated to create an outfit with the same theme and if you're interested in seeing that, you can find it here.
It is surprising to see so much red in my recent outfit posts - well, actually not much of a surprise since most of the outfit pictures were taken in Berlin and I packed very light for a mere 5 days that I stayed there. I think it is safe to say that I managed quite alright with styling the same pieces in different ways, I will tell you though that the red Topshop handbag that I have been wearing constantly will be making more appearances on here.
My nail polish collection consists of either very dark or bright tones, and I try to wear them equally as much each year. I had such a large collection but recently I threw out some old ones from like 5 years ago just to make space and as well as so I get the chance to use everything I own.
This week's manicure is this rich orange from O.P.I - I recently started using it and I've worn it maybe 2 or 3x already and I love it. The colour's just beautiful and compliments my skin tone so well. It wears very well too so that's a plus because there's nothing I dislike more than having to re-do my nails during the week. I usually keep Sundays for all the pampering and then I like to go about my week without worries.
Have you tried this colour before or something similar?
Hello again - back with this month's HWYW Challenge and our theme for this month is black and white. I was ecstatic when that was the result from our voting because I knew it was something that would be relatively easy to put together with the clothes that are already in my wardrobe. Here's my take on the theme and do let me know your thoughts below.
I'm back with part 2 of my Berlin travel diary. In no way is this post focusing on showcasing particular touristy places or anything of that sort, but more so what I did on our trip. To be honest, I revisited all the same monuments and sights as before, I even went on the same hop-on hop-off bus as I'd gone on last year. As mentioned in the first segment of the 'series'; it was more about showing my mother around the city and I think I make a heck of tour guide.
This is one of my favourite and more 'colourful' skirts in my wardrobe, I just wish it got used more often but unfortunately the weather doesn't always allow. I took it with me to Berlin because my trip there also consisted of outfit shoots because I knew the weather would be so good - that's what I call seizing the moment. I bought it so long ago in a store here in Iceland called Gyllti Kötturinn, never would I have guessed that it would end up becoming my favourite vintage store.
Another week is upon us and I'm welcoming it with open arms! My weekend was very relaxed, I've been binge watching Rupaul's Drag Race (don't judge me), I have my reasons as to why I enjoy the show so much, anyway back to the point. Today I want to share with your all the top 5 items that I've found myself reaching out for more in the past two-three weeks.
Hello my beautiful ladies, today I'm sharing with you my goals for the month of June. Although a week and a half has already flown by, I still decided to go ahead and share with you all. It's also a nice change from the usual outfit/beauty posts. Plus some of the goals are those I didn't accomplish in May.
In June I want to:
Organise and sort out my wardrobe
Read 2 books (I'm currently reading Gone Girl)
Minimize my nights out + alcohol consumption
Visit my friends more often
Slowly start working out again
Maintain my face (cleansing) routine
Go on road trips, Iceland is a country with beautiful nature and I need to utilise it
Be more creative with the blog showcasing different content
I would love to know what some of your goals for this month are! Let me know below because I love reading posts like these.
Hi, I'm back with another outfit. I wore this one on my Birthday back when I was in Berlin. I opted for a dress because that day I felt like being more feminine with my outfit choice and this was the end result. I loved rocking this outfit and felt very confident, on top of that, I got some weird looks from people because I was literally strolling in the streets to find a lunch spot in them. To some of you they may seem very uncomfortable; but believe me, they are very comfortable and I can go long hours in them.
