July Favourites

July is past us and it's time for my beauty favourites. Some of these products you might've already seen on here and I've provided links to the previous posts regarding some items in case you'll be interested in seeing that. It's going to be quite a long post so let's dive into it.

01. Maybelline Eyestudio 24h gel eyeliner: BEST. EYELINER. EVER! Seriously, last weekend I went out and had wings that could cut somebody along with my smokey eye, as the night came to an end, I couldn't be bothered to take of my make-up (bad girl...), the next morning my eyeshadows had moved around but my eyeliner stayed put, no smudges or anything and I could've continued wearing the same eyeliner all day.

02. Make Up Store face mist: I haven't tried too many face sprays aside from the LA Girl one so I wanted to try something new and I had to make a choice between the MAC prep + prime fix+ and the one pictures, I decided to go wit it as it's more affordable and feels fresh on the skin. It can be used before/after make up application or to simply rehydrate your face during the day.

What's In My Bag?

I've come to realise that in my 4 years of blogging I have never written a 'What's in my bag?' post, that changes today because I'm here to show you some of the things that I carry around with me. Do keep in mind that I change my bags quite often so what I carry varies on which bag is in use and how big/small it is. You might have seen this bag before, it's from H&M and was only £19.99, I talked about the bag here.

Beauty | May Favourites
'Metal Cherry' blush - Makeup Store // Vaseline // Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzing powder - Too Faced // YSL Fusion Ink foundation // Blindfold me Blue - Rimmel London // Off the shoulder - Essie // L.A. Girl Pro.setting spray // Maybelline  lipstick in Vivid Rose 904 // L'Occitane hand cream

Last month I found myself experimenting quite a lot with beauty products. Firstly I would like to tell you guys about this amazing shea butter hand cream from L'Occitane, it smells and feels divine on the hands, it literally moisturises all cracks and I promise you that your hands will no longer be ashy. This YSL foundation was also featured in my previous 'favourites' post, I'm still loving it and perhaps a review might soon follow if anyone out there's interested; or you could simply watch reviews of it on YouTube. The Essie nail polish is something I tend to return to every now and then, it's especially great for the summer season as is the deep blue from Rimmel London.

Monthly Favourites | March

I'm finally back for good, do expect a lot of posts to come from travelling and beauty related because I've done quite a bit of travelling in the past weeks and I've got a lot of photos to show you guys. Also I shopped a little bit while at it so there will be brand new outfit pics featuring the clothing items I purchased, I'm all positive because this month started well for me and I plan on keeping the positivity for the rest of the month and onto the next month as well.

Today I decided to post my March Favourites because I have some new items that I've been loving and wanted to share them with you all, hope you enjoy the post.

Beauty | Foundations
1. E.L.F Studio Flawless Finish Foundation // 2. Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation
3. Bobbi Brown Weightless Powder Foundation // 4. Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse
5. Bobbi Brown Foundation stick // 6. M.A.C Mineralize Moisture Foundation
7. Smashbox Liquid Halo Foundation // 8. Make Up Store Studio Foundation Powder
 9. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Compact Foundation // 10. NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

I recently drained my M.A.C studio fix fluid foundation which I've been using for quite some time now alongside the Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick. This means going on another hunt for the perfect foundation. As everyone already knows, M.A.C. cosmetics isn't the cheapest of brands so right now my aim is to find a few  good brands that are on the more affordable side. I've tried a couple of drugstore brands but they never seem to be dark enough for my skin tone and always leave me looking ashy. I'm starting to think that I might need to actually purchase two separate shades and mix them to get the desired shade or go back to splurging on the studio fix fluid.

I'm interested in trying the NARS and Bobbi Brown compact foundation although I'm quite certain that my shade of the BB one isn't in stock. Also no place here carries NARS which means I'd need to get mine online, that can be a hassle to find a site that ships to Iceland. Have you guys tried any of the above foundations and if so which top 3 would you recommend me to try out?

Monthly Favourites | November

NIP+FAB foot cream // Thierry Mugler Mugler Show Eu de toilette // Atrix hand cream
Clarins moisturiser // Bath & Body works hand gel // Blistex lip balm
Urban Decay Naked 3 palette // Nivea roll-on // Bobbi Brown foundation stick
Sleek lipstick // Maybelline Linerefine eyeliner [brows] // Essie [off the shoulder]

Having not posted any monthly favourites as  of late I decided to do one for the month of November seeing as I was loving quite a lot of things. Mind you some of these item you've mostly likely already seen on here before. First comes one of my top five foot creams out there and it's from NIP+FAB, it's very moisturising and perfect to keep your legs smooth and soft especially in this cold. A while back I'd posted a review of both the Clarins daily moisturiser [here] and Sleek lipstick [here] so to get more in-depth thoughts regarding them, go ahead and open the links. For school I've found myself rocking neutral eye shadows and topping them off with my favourite Gosh liner, thus I've been getting a lot of use from the UD Naked 3 palette and lastly is the Thierry Mugler Mugler Show eu de toilette, I've almost drained the entire bottle and it's not long ago since I got it. It's a more summery scent than winter nonetheless I've worn it non-stop.

Hopefully everyone's having a great week and looking forward to the weekend, I have my first final tomorrow and it's in Mathematics... I'm dreading it and have been studying like a maniac the past days. My weekend will be spent soaking in books so I probably won't be back on here until late next week when I'm finished with my finals. Good luck to everyone who has exams week. xx

Nails | Sparrow Me The Drama

Nail polishes used:
Maybelline Color Show - 197 Chalk Dust
GOSH - 569 Flamingo
O.P.I - Sparrow me the drama

I haven't posted anything nail related on here for quite a while so I decided to show you guys these three polishes that are currently my favvourites and also the way I like combining them for a cute and quirky look. If you have been following my blog long enough then you know that one of my favourite ways of painting my nails is have solid colours on all my nails apart from the ring finger; otherwise know as the 'accent nail' where I usually paint a totally different color and will probably add some glitter as well, but in this case I added the Maybelline black and white polish.
What is your favourite way of painting your finger nails? Let me know below.xo

New In | Maybelline, Gosh & O.P.I

Keeping Suzi at bay - O.P.I
 Aloe Vera lip balm
Lip liner in 'wild cherry' - Gosh
'Kitch 86' lipstick - Gosh
'904 vivid rose' lipstick - Maybelline

Here are a couple of beauty related items that I want to share with you all. I'd purchased them a while back but somehow my silly self managed to forget about them and go about my life without even posting about them on here, even though I'd taken these pictures a long time ago. That's the reason I'm showing them to you guys now. For the longest time I've been dying to get my hands on a bright pink lipstick that didn't make me look like a drag queen but like a natural looking version of a barbie doll and I think I might have just found what I've been searching for. It's the color sensational vivid rose (904) one from Maybelline. It's already been used twice and I love it, it doesn't at all wash me out and it's perfect. The gosh lipstick was also something I needed wanted, a nude lipstick, every girl's got to own one right? I've not worn it yet but the swatch convinced me so it came home with me. The lip liner was to replace my old one that I'd lost and the nail polish... well it was an impulse buy.

Beauty | NYE Sparkles

Hello hello, it's finally New Years Eve and after posting about some possible NYE outfits the last time, I decided to go ahead and write another post with even more sparkles but this time around it's all about the nails. Below I've chosen five polishes that I consider appropriate for the occasion although not all of them are sparkly. My fave of all of them is probably 'polka.com', it's just so pretty over pretty much any colour polish you can think of and works well on the accent finger too.

Instagram | Tumblr | Pinterest Lookbook | Twitter | Bloglovin
Maybelline Color Show | 197 Chalk Dust: this polish isn't necessarily a glitter polish but the flakes of it topped onto another contrasting colour will definitely make your nails stand out, it's a polish on it's own but I think it's better off added to another.

China Glaze | 1061 Mistletoe Me: another not-so-sparkly nail polish that is a gorgeous pink with a slight hint of sparkle in there. The application's very think and you can go on 'bout your day with just 1 coat but for me 2 coats is the way to go. This colour isn't too 'out there' so it's perfect for those who want a bit of colour but not over the top.
O.P.I | Sparkle-icious: my first ever O.P.I polish, after purchasing this very particular polish is when the nail polish addiction begun, today I own a little over 60 polishes which is insane and I'm sort of ashamed to even write that on here, of course it's nowhere compared to some nail polish collections I've seen on YouTube!
This polish's really pretty although it needs about 3 coats to cover the whole nail if applied single, the not so fun part is when it's time to remove it.
Sally Hansen | 450 Wedding Crasher: a very sparkly pink that applies well and needs only about 2 coats. Easy removal and not too expensive. The Sally Hansen nail brushes are amazing too, one of the best!
O.P.I | Polka.com: when the Euro Centrale collection by O.P.I came out this is the very first polish from the whole collection that really caught my eye and I bought it straight away, I've worn it a couple of times and it's just so pretty. I love all the different coloured flakes it contains and it looks really pretty topped onto another polish; especially a yellow one. I wore this on  O.P.I's 'Need Sunglasses' and got so many compliments.

That's it for today and hopefully this post can help some of you out there in search for the perfect glitter polish and I hope I'm not too late with it. Today's I'll just be relaxing at home, have dinner with the fam then meet up with the girls for our NYE shenanigans.
See you all in the new year and stay safe!

Nails | Bubblicious by Maybelline

 Bubblicious - Maybelline Color Show

Won a giveaway I think last month that was held by Trendnet.is and the price were two nail polishes from the Maybelline color show line and a dip-in nail polish remover. Since then I've already used this nail polish a few times and it last a long time, once I had it on for almost 2 weeks. The application is quite thick some maybe need to only use 1 coat but for me I always use 2 or more just to get a more in depth colour.
In these pictures I have about 2-3 on.
This is the first time ever that I'm trying out the color show nail polishes and so far so good.

New In | Trendnet & Maybelline Reykjavík Goodies

The Rocket Volum Express mascara - Maybelline
Express remover - Maybelline
Color show 'polka dots' - Maybelline
Color show 'bubblicious' - Maybelline

Seems all I do these days is win giveaways haha, anyway a week ago Trendnet.is (a platform for Icelandic bloggers) and Maybelline Reykjavík teamed up to host a giveaway on Instagram whereby those who participated had to hashtag #trendneglur (#trendnails) on their nail photos and everyday for five days they chose 5 winners who won a nail polish remover, 2 nail polishes and a mascara. The grand prize was 50.000kr which is equivalent to $412 which the winner got to spend on Maybelline goodies. I was part of the 5 day winners which I was very happy with because it was unexpected since there were about 800 photos taking part in this giveaway. I was ecstatic when I received the news on a Friday morning and my day went by pretty nicely that day.

These are my first ever nail polishes from the 'Color show' line so I'm excited to try them out and see how they wear, I will most definitely blog about them soon and show you guys some swatches as well. Also I've very excited to try the remover, heard about it before but never thought of trying it and since I've now got it FOR FREE I'm really excited to see all the hype about it and will of course let you know especially if anyone out there is interested in buying it.

Have a fabulous week lovelies.
