I recently drained my M.A.C studio fix fluid foundation which I've been using for quite some time now alongside the Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick. This means going on another hunt for the perfect foundation. As everyone already knows, M.A.C. cosmetics isn't the cheapest of brands so right now my aim is to find a few good brands that are on the more affordable side. I've tried a couple of drugstore brands but they never seem to be dark enough for my skin tone and always leave me looking ashy. I'm starting to think that I might need to actually purchase two separate shades and mix them to get the desired shade or go back to splurging on the studio fix fluid.
I'm interested in trying the NARS and Bobbi Brown compact foundation although I'm quite certain that my shade of the BB one isn't in stock. Also no place here carries NARS which means I'd need to get mine online, that can be a hassle to find a site that ships to Iceland. Have you guys tried any of the above foundations and if so which top 3 would you recommend me to try out?

Girl, I swear by that Bobbi Brown foundation stick!*
ReplyDeleteNothing else compares, if you want it extra matte use a heavy powder, if you want it a bit dewy, mildly set it!*
I can rave about it enough!*
Been through the 'too ashy, too light, too dark, too oily' struggle with drugstore foundations and that foundation stick is the answer!*
Expensive but WORTH IT!*
Good luck!*

I love my Bobbi Brown foundation stick, it's pricey but lasts a very long time and has very good coverage... it's just I want something new lol, the beauty bug working so we'll see what will be my choice.x
DeleteI want to try the Nars foundation too but it's quite expensive here in Sweden, even more than Mac. And I'm scared it might turn out wrong. Wanna try something new than Mac
ReplyDeleteSame here, I totally get what you mean.
DeleteThe maybelline one isn't that bad but if you have oily skin it's not the greatest though, one of my favorite I'm currently using is Revlon Colorstay! This one is just so great, you can build it up depending on whether you want full coverage or nah, and my skin doesn't get as oily. And of course the good ol MAC :)
