Away With Me | On top of the World

Day 5

Tank top - New Yorker | Bandeau - New Yorker | Shorts - Nostalgía | Bag - Zara | Shoes - Vans

Here's the final outfit post from my one week trip to Nîmes.
I decided to wear my high waist shorts again for the second day in a row which I know is a fashion no-no but oh well, I like the shorts and wanted to get some use out of them. I felt so good wearing these like you guys don't even know lol. I felt like the main bad bitch.
That day we toured the Arena of Nîmes which was incredible, I had been in the arena itself earlier for a concert but this time we got to see every little aspect of it, we went down these mysterious hall ways and luckily it was very sunny so it wasn't too creepy. At last we went to the very top of the building which was quite frightening as I suffer from Acrophobia but still it was a lot of fun being up there and looking over the ruins of the city. I'm telling ya it felt as if I was on top of the world. After the tour we had dinner at a nice restaurant right in front of the arena called Brasserie Des Arenes where I somehow ended up ordering raw mince beef topped with a raw egg... I have no idea how I ended up with raw food considering that the menu was in French and English. Maybe the many glasses of wine I enjoyed in the sun before were playing me.

This was the first time I was visiting France and I'm very happy with everything, I enjoyed myself and so did the boo and we most definitely would like to visit again, but of course another place. I hope everyone liked the outfit posts; though by the feedback from the previous posts I'm thinking you all did enjoy these.

Till next time.

Away With Me | High waist Levis shorts

Day 4

On our way to town, decided to pose for one picture before I became a hot mess in the heat.

At our favourite place to have lunch, La Paseo and of course me enjoying my first wine glass of many.

I'm obsessed with taking pictures like these of my outfits.
Dinner at La Camargue
At the end of our day, did a little shopping, mostly hair products and extensions eeek.

Playsuit - Primark
 Shorts - Nostalgía (seen here)
Bag - New Yorker
 Earrings - H&M
Shoes - Vans

This is the second last outfit post from my trip, I've been receiving really good feedback on my previous ones and I just want to thank each and every one of you so much for the support. It really means a lot to me and all your comments are very much appreciated.
As for this outfit I really wanted to wear the playsuit again so I paired it with a new purchase of mine; which was by the way a splurge, these high rise Levis shorts from Nostalgía. I love them and they are like the perfect pair of shorts. For shoes I went with my trusty Vans that I've had for the longest time but never wore until my other blue ones got a little too raggedy from the festival that I attended a while back so I decided to take these ones with me on the trip and I basically lived in them throughout my holiday.

See you guys in my next post.

Away With Me | Burgundy Shorts

Day 3

Our favourite street to walk around, so many restaurants with yummy foods
I don't quite like my ass cheeks lol, if you know a cream to balance out the darknes please let me know.
Top - New Yorker | Shorts - New Look | Sandals - New Yorker | Bag - New Yorker

This was the third day of our trip and it was spent shopping and sightseeing as well and later having some good food at our favourite restaurant " La Camargue" which is situated in the centre of town among other restaurants and shopping boutiques. On this trip I didn't even shop as much as I hoped to do, most of my money was spent dining out and stocking up on bottles of red wine to take home with me, oh well at least I have bottles hanging around the house for emergencies and when I'm in need of a chilled out evening lol.
I loved wearing these shorts on holiday as it was H-O-T out there, it was like I was in Africa, damn. And coming from a colder country it was very exciting going in the sun at first but as the days passed by the heat because quite unbearable. Nevertheless I had a really good time.

Away With Me | Zara dress

Day 2
Dress - Zara | Bag x Sandals - New Yorker

Posing by the Arena next to a statue of Christian Montcouquiol, a french bullfighter known as "Nimeño II"
At the La Coupole mall.
Cooling our feet in the heat.

Happy Sunday!
This is my second outfit from my short holiday to France. I wore this dress for the first time out there and it was so pretty and very comfortable; also it's not too short whereby I'm  showing all my goodies to everyone. That's a no-no. My mum had bought this dress for me right before I left for France and since it was a light yet pretty dress I decided to take it with me as I mightn't even be able to wear it here with this hideous rain that's been going on no-stop.
This very day is when we went to the Mark Knopfler concert but they didn't allow cameras, though I did happen to take some photos on my phone. Will post them later.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend.

Away With Me | Bonjour-ing it up in France

Day 1

Bonjour loves.
Finally back home and settled after a week in beautiful France.
We visited  Nîmes which is located in the southern part of France. Nîmes is the capital of the Gard department in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. We went there because my friend wanted to see his favourite guitarist in concert. Mark Knopfler was performing at the Arena of Nîmes and I must be honest with you guys, at first I had my doubts about the singer but after listening to him on YouTube; I became obsessed with his song Romeo and Juliet which has became my all time favourite track of his and I've been listening to it ever since. At the concert I was so glad that he sang the song and took a solo at the end... my god it was a blast! Pictures on that will come later but first; the outfit I wore out for exploring after our early arrival and a 6 hour nap that very same day.
La Fontaine de Pradier, such a gorgeous fountain right as you're about to enter the city centre and you can see the Arena peeking through in the back.
 My not polished toe nails..eek.
 Playsuit - Primark | Sandals x Bag - New Yorker | Watch - Casio

I gladly hope you guys enjoyed the first post and make sure to check back because there's a lot more to come soon. I have so many pictures; especially of food that ya'll are going to die over lol. I'm thinking of dividing these posts up with outfits only first and later on that's when I'd dedicate one or two blog posts particularly regarding the sightseeing places and monuments. Let me know how you guys like that idea.
In the mean time, have a wonderful weekend if I won't be able to post in the next coming days because I'm taking extra shifts at work and such so I will be quite busy starting tomorrow.

Trend Alert | White On White

White On White #1

We all know how everybody's going bonkers over the white on white trend that's been the 'it' thing for the summer and I'm pretty certain this trend will make it into the cold days of autumn. I absolutely adore the trend and have been trying to find a pair of pure white jeans or skirt or something but I just can't seem to find anything. So for me, this trend has to wait a lil' while longer.
Also I wanted to share with you my current favourite blogger who knows how to dress the trend and it seems white is her favourite colour. Check out Yamilla of Style Bonbon's recent white on white look here.

I'm a huge fan of gold as I keep talking about it so much on my blog.
Currently in France so make sure to follow me on my instagram (here) for daily updates.

New In | Dótturfélagið x Nostalgía

Shorts - Nostalgía
Skirt - Dótturfélagið

Bonjour belles personnes!
Hope you're all having a fantastic week.
I'm enjoying myself out here, the food is great and the heat is killer but I can't complain since it's been raining non stop back home. Anyway, just wanted to show you guys what I bought a few weeks ago when Agnes (or Agnieshka as I prefer to call he lol ) spent the day together munching on yummy muffins and sipping on our favourite drinks. I've been searching for the perfect high waist denim shorts for the longest time and I think I may have just found a pair for me. They fit perfect and the waist isn't all slouchy and baggy. They fit perfectly and I can't wait to wear them in the hot weather here.  I've already planned a going outfit that you will hopefully soon see on the blog. The skirt was pretty much an impulse buy, I walked into the store Dótturfélagið that's been around for about a year now but this was the first time going in there and I fell in love with everything I saw. Now I'll admit that the stuff in there don't come cheap... but I somehow managed to take about 8 items with me into the fitting rooms and god knows how I managed to purchase only one out of eight.

Till next time.

Outfit | Feminine Power

Nom.
My beautiful friend Agnes.

Leather jacket - Rainbows | Striped top - H&M | Belt - H&M | Skirt - Gyllti Kötturinn | Brogues - | Bag - Barcelona | Watch - Casio | Necklace - H&M

On Tuesday Agnes and I spent the entire day together walking up and down our so called 'stroget' here in Reykjavík whilst checking out all the awesome stores. There are so many sales going on now and it was so tempting to buy something that day since as it happened to be the beginning of a new month. I ended up splurging on a midi skirt and a pair of the most fabulous high waist shorts that I've ever laid eyes on. The price tag of the shorts was quite shocking since I'm a bargainer. The sad thing is that they were the last pair that fit me... perfectly I must add* although they were a bit tight on the booty area, they still made me look so good and thus I didn't feel like leaving them so after a lot of thinking, the shorts went home with me that day.
As for them being tight around my butt area, if it means me tightening those butt-cheeks of mine to not have to jump up and down whilst putting them shorts on; that's what will be done.

p.s I felt like such a lady when I wore this skirt, I love it and want more of these skirts, I happened to spot one in a vintage store called Spúútník.
