Stedelijk Museum | Amsterdam

http://www.stedelijk.nl/en

The Stedelijk Museum is located in the Museum quarter of Amsterdam. It's a modern and contemporary visual arts museum with multiple special exhibitions during the year. It's the first museum I've visited since moving here and I definitely wasn't disappointed. At the time that I went, there was a J. Tingueley exhibition, he's known for his kinetic art, i.e. metamechanics. After the museum, my friend and I stopped at a vintage café where we indulged in a cheese plater and some glühwein.

Day Trip To Utrecht

H/M

Hoola! Man it's been so long since I updated the blog. My last post was on the 5th of December...
But I'm somewhat back now and today I want to share with you a an outfit from when I visited Utrecht for the first time - actually the second time - but this time I actually explored the city. It was a very fun experience to finally see the place because last year I'd also applied to the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. I got accepted but chose to go with Amsterdam. Anyway I hope you enjoy the photos and now I'm finishing up my 3rd period and exams are right around the corner so it's revision time once again :/

Marktplaats Vintage Show

I'm back with another post, it's an outfit that I wore last Tuesday when I attended a fashion show by Marktplaats at Vondelkerk. The show took place at Amsterdam's Vondel church (by the famous Vondel Park, which between you should visit if you're even in the city). The runway was walked by Dutch influencers from beauty & fashion bloggers, lifestyle bloggers and vloggers as well.

Everyday Sparkle

Trench - Vero Moda // Trousers - Gyllti Kötturinn // Heels - Zara // Bag - Monki

Hello again! I just wanted to pop in and let you guys know that I'm still alive. I started Uni and it's definitely taking its toll on me, I have endless work and projects to finish in such a short period of time and soon I'll be having my first exams after almost a 2 year break from books! Because of that, I felt I needed to take a break from blogging and focus on getting my routine together. I honestly have no idea how to balance the two, so for now I'll definitely stick to posting on here whenever possible.
Today's outfit is one I wore a while ago for a friend's surprise birthday party. I wore my trusty leather pants with a sequin crop-top and topped it off with a trench jacket.

Till next time! xx

Maxi Skirt

Shirt - Zara // Top & bag - Monki // Skirt - H&M // Shoes - Converse

Yesterday I was my second orientation day and it was an all day excursion in the city centre. We started the day off by going on a canal cruise and then there were a few games along the way, as well as a visit to the Madam Tussauds Museum. At the end of the day we all met up at well-known pub called Het Schuim for a few beers before biking back home like the pro's we are becoming.
Since I knew it would be a long day of walking all around the city, I styled my outfit accordingly and went for a comfortable pair of chucks, a long skirt that's very light and a flowy top. I love this skirt so much and I had to get it in black too. Will hopefully show you that soon.

Till next time. x

HWYW | African Printz

H/M
Hey ladies, it's been a while but I'm back. I've been sorting out a few things and so far it's been a heck of a busy month for me. But I'm keeping myself positive and just overall appreciating the tough times and taking them in as a lesson. I will share with you what's been going on once I'm settled and actually have the time to sit down and write away, for now here's an outfit for this month's 'How Would You Wear' challenge. Our theme is African Print and seeing as this dashiki piece's the only thing in my wardrobe I just have to show it again. This time I paired it with my vintage Levis shorts and a pair of chucks.

Dining at Argentína Steikhús

H/M
Happy Sunday! Last Friday mum took me to a restaurant called Argentína Steikhús seeing as I'd just completed my last shift at work for the summer and also it had been long since the two of us went out for dinner. It was my first time eating there and I had such a great experience, I'll definitely be going back for their white chocolate mousse dessert. We were there for almost 4 hours just chatting and indulging in scrumptious dishes.

6 OUTFITS FROM JANUARY - JUNE

Often as bloggers we tend to spend a great amount of time working on a blog post whether it be a beauty- or fashion related one only to hit that publish button and completely forgetting about the blog post in a few weeks to come, which is very saddening if you think about it. That is one of my many reasons for writing this post today because I am sharing with you my 6 favourite long forgotten outfits through the January - June period so let us get straight down to business.

Perfect Summer Dress

H/M
My final outfit from my trip to Berlin. This gorgeous number I'm seen rocking is from Pimkie and it's definitely my favourite casual dress to wear. I love the dainty prints on it and also the fact that it's off-shoulder (hey summer trend!). I also took it with me to Denmark and seeing as the weather there was amazing - it was the perfect light dress to get me through the heat. This is the second time this dress is making an appearance on the blog, you can find the first look hereHappy Sunday folks!

Granny Effect

I promise you all, I do actually own more bags that the one pictured above. Myself I'm tired of seeing it again and again in my outfit posts lately so I kinda know how you all must feel. Anyway, today's outfit is one from about two weeks ago, I took mum out for a late lunch at one of my favourite spots - Snaps Bistro Bar, it's a hidden gem on Óðinstorg in Reykjavík. I'd also taken dad there last time he visited us and they both seemed to love the place so if you're ever in Iceland, make sure to check it out as they have a great menu with delicious food and not to mention their brunch is the best along with the one at Café Paris.

Happy Hour

Happy Saturday loves, today I'm sharing an outfit I wore not too long ago when my friend and I met up for an impromptu happy hour outing - we was thuuuuursty! As always, I wanted to feel comfortable and so I opted for a latest edition in my wardrobe which is the H&M side slit top, the material's so comfortable and I've used it a couple of times when travelling, I then added my Ebay bargain to add more colour and warmth yet not feeling too hot. I've shown you the jacket before and you can find that post here.

Berlin Zoological Garden

H/M
I got this pretty dress and another one from Pimkie, I haven't had the chance to shoot the other dress but trust and believe I'll be showcasing it on here as soon as I can + if the weather allows. The white one is probably my favourite because the off-shoulder thing has definitely grown on me and I currently find myself on a hunt for a tightly fitted off-shoulder dress with maybe 3/4 sleeves...

Lady in the Streets

H/M
It is surprising to see so much red in my recent outfit posts - well, actually not much of a surprise since most of the outfit pictures were taken in Berlin and I packed very light for a mere 5 days that I stayed there. I think it is safe to say that I managed quite alright with styling the same pieces in different ways, I will tell you though that the red Topshop handbag that I have been wearing constantly will be making more appearances on here.

MIDI SKIRT

This is one of my favourite and more 'colourful' skirts in my wardrobe, I just wish it got used more often but unfortunately the weather doesn't always allow. I took it with me to Berlin because my trip there also consisted of outfit shoots because I knew the weather would be so good - that's what I call seizing the moment. I bought it so long ago in a store here in Iceland called Gyllti Kötturinn, never would I have guessed that it would end up becoming my favourite vintage store.

Striped Little Black Dress

H/M
Hi, I'm back with another outfit. I wore this one on my Birthday back when I was in Berlin. I opted for a dress because that day I felt like being more feminine with my outfit choice and this was the end result. I loved rocking this outfit and felt very confident, on top of that, I got some weird looks from people because I was literally strolling in the streets to find a lunch spot in them. To some of you they may seem very uncomfortable; but believe me, they are very comfortable and I can go long hours in them.

How Would You Wear | Off-Shoulder

Good afternoon from Berlin! I've been here since Tuesday and as always, I love it. I always appreciate travelling to different cities because I feel it helps me grow as an individual and it's overall better to refresh mind the mind in a new environment. This post was actually supposed to go up last night but I was just too exhausted to work on it so that's what I've been doing all morning and seeing as I'm finally finished, I'm about to get ready and head out to explore, I think I'd love to check out some museums today or go sailing.

ADIDAS JACKET

Yesterday I attended one of my friends' art show at the Reykjavík School of Visual Arts. It was a very long day because right after the event the students all gathered at one pub called Boston - It's located on the main shopping street and there we had the patio to ourselves which was great. I had such an amazing time and as I'm writing this post I'm actually exhausted. Seeing as I was going to an Art School, I decided to mix and match different prints and colours for this outfit - and this was the result.

VINTAGE LOVE

HI! You guys have no idea how excited I actually am as I'm writing this post. I literally want to exclaim every single sentence up in here. Anyway, I decided to start my routine with an outfit post. I wore this outfit two weekends ago, I'd recently purchased the two pieces that I'm seen wearing and didn't want them stashed somewhere in my wardrobe without being used, so I gathered the girls over at our place for some wine and talk then we headed downtown. Plus these pieces are second-hand and were a total of $16.00 - I definitely don't hate that. I really liked the outcome of mixing the leather pants with an over-sized blazer.

The Trench

Hello loves, hope you're having an awesome week. Mine's going alright, I've got two more days of work and then it's onto a 5 day 'sleepcation', The days I'll be free I'm planning on resting and recharging my batteries as I feel quite exhausted as we speak.
I wore this outfit sometime last week when I went for ice cream and coffee, the sunset that day was beautiful so we got ourselves some ice cream and ended up enjoying it in the car parked at the Reykjavík Harbour. It was overall a gorgeous day that was definitely well spent!
