New In | L'Occitane Box

Recently at the mall I discovered a store that carries a variety L'Occitane products and so I decided to get this box that includes a shower gel (not pictured), foot and hand creams, a perfumed sachet, bar soap and a lip balm. The box came nicely packaged and once I opened it, the scent of a blend consisting of almond oils, honey, fruit extracts and lavender all in one was oozing around my entire room. I can't do the scent justice by trying to describe it here but believe me you that they smell amazing!

L'Occitane en Province is an all organic French brand/company with headquarters in Manosque, France. The company carries products ranging from body, face and home products. All of their products are developed and produced in Manosque and has a majority of it's sources in Provence, in addition to that; the Shea butter used in their products is purchased from women's groups in Burkina Faso. The primary ingredient is the immortelle flower, which apparently has anti-aging properties making the products hype-worthy. The company doesn't test on animals which is a huge plus, I'm not one too deep into the whole animal testing process but it's great to know that their products are all naturally produced. The products are quite expensive but if you're one who likes to pamper themselves and really take care of yourself then I highly recommend these products, not only do they stand to their expectations, but they smell amazing too.

This year will be one filled with lots of beauty related posts and this is only the beginning and I hope everyone's excited to see more. I have quite a couple of make up looks planned that will be on the blog for the future as well as my skin care regimen, I'm currently working on that and will be doing a review on the products that I'm using. Now to kick off the new week I'm going to show you my go-to make up look that I gravitate towards whenever I want to look decent in 15 minutes or less. Keep reading to know how I achieve this pretty simple look.

Wishlist | Romwe

Happy Friday everyone! I'm back with a wishlist, I haven't posted a fashion related one since back in December if I recall correctly. All of the items above are to be found on the Romwe website which you all probably know by now so there's really not much more to say. They offer fashionable quality pieces for affordable prices, they offer free shipping if you shop for a certain amount and also worldwide shipping. They currently have a sale running up to 60% off and I thought what other better time than now to put together a wishlist with mostly items that are on sale so that if someone is interested they could head straight to their site and snatch a piece of their own. I'm currently dying over the blue dress and the knit, it'd be so perfect right now in this cold.

1. E.L.F Studio Flawless Finish Foundation // 2. Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation
3. Bobbi Brown Weightless Powder Foundation // 4. Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse
5. Bobbi Brown Foundation stick // 6. M.A.C Mineralize Moisture Foundation
7. Smashbox Liquid Halo Foundation // 8. Make Up Store Studio Foundation Powder
 9. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Compact Foundation // 10. NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation

I recently drained my M.A.C studio fix fluid foundation which I've been using for quite some time now alongside the Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick. This means going on another hunt for the perfect foundation. As everyone already knows, M.A.C. cosmetics isn't the cheapest of brands so right now my aim is to find a few  good brands that are on the more affordable side. I've tried a couple of drugstore brands but they never seem to be dark enough for my skin tone and always leave me looking ashy. I'm starting to think that I might need to actually purchase two separate shades and mix them to get the desired shade or go back to splurging on the studio fix fluid.

I'm interested in trying the NARS and Bobbi Brown compact foundation although I'm quite certain that my shade of the BB one isn't in stock. Also no place here carries NARS which means I'd need to get mine online, that can be a hassle to find a site that ships to Iceland. Have you guys tried any of the above foundations and if so which top 3 would you recommend me to try out?

New In | Jewellery & Beauty

Georg V. Hannah necklace | Love Spell body mist | EOS lip balm | Spúútník necklace | Maybelline the Colossal volum' express mascara | Gosh crackle nail polish - Gold | Maybelline nail polish - Downtown Red

Today I wanted to show you guys a few things that recently got to join my growing collection of nail polishes, mascaras and jewellery. What can I say, I'm in need of serious help. I love my pendant necklace that one of my friends gifted  me for my graduation, it's so pretty and adds a great touch to any outfit. You will be seeing it quite a lot in the coming outfit posts. I've heard great things about this mascara and I'm looking forward to testing it out.

Golden Globes Awards 2015 | What were they thinking?!

Naomi Campbell in Burberry | Alessandra Ambrosio in Zuhair Murad | Kerry Washington in Mary Katrantzou
Lana Del Rey in a Travilla gown | Lupita Nyong'o in Giambattista Valli | Chrissy Teigen in Zuhair Murad
Tina Fey in Antonio Berardi | Katherine Heigl in Zac Posen | Lena Dunham in Zac Posen

Last post's topic was on the BEST DRESSED celebrities at this year's Golden Globes. Today I'm showing you another one of my picks but this time around it's the looks that I liked the least, like seriously what were their stylists thinking? I know there's that whole thing of stepping out of one's box and trying something new and for events like these everyone tries to look their best and they seek either one of the top designers or the more-so underground and upcoming ones. Just because someone like Elie Saab comes out with couture gowns one season doesn't mean you can go ahead and chose one of his pieces thinking it will fit you as well as the runway model. There's that whole proportion thing to keep in mind as well. Take for instance Kerry Washington, that dress I feel would have looked better if it were more fitted and not so flared out, she wouldn't look like a Disney character, although the colours are gorgeous. Lana Del Rey, Tina Fey and Kathrine Heigl's stylists should be fired, it's no way acceptable to step out for such a huge event looking such a hot mess!

This year's top choice for many seemed to be the Beirut-based Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad, J-Lo slayed one of his 2014/2015 Haute Couture pieces which was a beaded sheer caftan with bold shoulders and a belted waist, but I was disappointed at Chrissy's and Alessandra's choices because there are other way more beautiful pieces from his collections they could have chosen from instead of what they actually chose because in my opinion the two look like they were wearing diapers!

Golden Globes Awards 2015 | Best Dressed

Emily Blunt in Michael Kors | Emma Stone in Lanvin | Kate Hudson in Versace

Viola Davis in Donna Karan | Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad | Diane Kruger - Emilia Wichstead

Reese Witherspoon in Calvin Klein | Jenna Tatum in Carolina Herrerra | Kate Beckinsale in Elie Saab

You've just run down my list of the dresses I found countable for the 'GOOD' section from this year's Golden Globe Awards, I usually watch the award show but this time around I wasn't able to so instead I surfed the web and found all the gowns and tuxedos everyone was wearing. I decided to post my 9 favourite looks from the night and I will also be posting on soon with the 'not-so-favourite' looks so be on the lookout for that. This year I wasn't too excited nor was my mind blown by the beauty of the gowns on the red carpet, I wasn't too 'wow-ed' but I saw a couple I liked and many I didn't like at all! It's hard to pick only one as my most favoured thus there are nine pictures above.

Life lately has been pretty chilled on my side, I've been going out to meet friends quite more often than before, drinking a lot of coffee, cooking, sleeping, working out and just overall overall having a lot of me time as well, guess you could say it's my way of detoxing (but with social media still around). I wanted to list down a few things I've been finding myself doing a lot of things so here goes:

1. I'm currently reading The Fault in Our Stars
2. Listening to Marsha Ambrosius and Luke James (check them out!)
3. At the gym I'm loving my Foam Flex classes
4. The blog I'm loving is Negin Mirsalehi
5. I've been eating a lot of chocolate
6. I can't go a day without scrolling through Instagram
7. My journal has gotten a lot of use lately
8. I've been experimenting more in the kitchen
9. I can't remember when I last had a fruit
10. My love for the RHOA is still going strong

Favourite Outfits of 2014

Instagram | Tumblr | Pinterest Lookbook | Twitter | Bloglovin

For the first post of 2015 I opted to show you guys a few of my favourite outfits from 2014. As I was going through the pictures and picking out my favourites I noticed that the past year I didn't really post as many outfits as prior. I guess school did really take a toll on my life. One thing I realised as well is that I branched more into the beauty department, there were a tad more blog posts regarding beauty products as to fashion which in a way is a great change to alternate between the two divisions. Scroll on to see the outfits I picked and let me know which one's your favourite.

Happy New Year everybody! I haven't blogged since back in 2014 lol, see what I did there? My Holidays were okay, I've been sleeping a lot lately, especially with no school these days I'm making sure to seize the moment and sleep as much as I can. My sleeping routine is totally turned, I sleep at 04:00 and wake up at 12:00 noon. I'm working on changing it, also I've been going to the gym almost every single day and I'm happy to have started the year out the way I did; with the goal to maintain a healthy body and mind.
I'm sure you're all thinking like: "damn Esther, don't you have another leather jacktet?" The thing is I have a black one as well but it's nowhere as pretty and as comfortable as this one... so yeah. Expect to see it in even more outfits to come. I just want to thank each and every one of you for reading my lousy blog and always leaving encouraging comments, it means a lot and that's what keeps me going. THANK YOU! xx
