ASOS Wishlist #2

ASOS Wishlist #3

Hi everyone! Your girl's got only one more nightshift of work remaining for the summer, my 'summer' vacation wasn't as productive as I'd hoped... but whatever, only good vibes over here (insert pink nails emoji). Most of my time was spent sleeping and browsing ASOS as per usual and today I decided to show you a bit of what's currently on my wish list. For me summer's already, it's been raining for 4 days straight over here and I'm just over it, the nights are dark as if it were already winter and honestly I'm looking forward to A/W because the two are my favourite seasons especially style wise - layering is my thang! In honour of the colder months quickly approaching, I'm ready to restock my wardrobe with some cosy pieces as showcased in the image above, that dress is among the other pieces just because it's so pretty and I couldn't resist.

What is your favourite time of the year?

GET THE LOOK | Rihanna at OVO Fest

Rihanna's OVO Tour 2016 Outfit

August's finally here which means it's time to say goodbye to summer clothes and start preparing for Autumn/Winter. I'm excited for this winter, let's see how my style will evolve.
Now, I'm sure that most of you have seen the above picture of Riri floating around the web the past couple of days. I've always adored her style but at times the outfits she steps out in always seem too overwhelming for the average girl - that's the deal with this orange ensemble. Rihanna's wearing a Fengchen Wang coat and boots from Vetements; both items are from the Spring 2017 men's wear collections.

I decided on gathering inspiration from her outfit and making it more wearable, I would finish the look off with either a statement necklace or a  pair of earrings. I love the fact that she wore men's wear because I tend to do that a lot, I love my oversized sweaters and shirts especially, whenever I go shopping, I always make sure to check out the men's sections in stores.

Would you wear an almost all-orange outfit?

Cold-shoulder x Choker

Happy Sunday - today I'm sharing another inspo outfit for the summer trends that I like, if you missed out on the first two outfits, you can find them here & here. Honestly I'm really feeling the current trends for summer '16 and I can admit to having tried to style my outfits according to the trends which is something I try to restrain from because I'm a firm believer in having and staying to your personal style. Anyway recently I purchased a very pretty scarf that I had in mind to wear both as a turban and as a choker kind of thing, so excited to show you guys an outfit featuring it.

The look above was mostly styled around this gorgeous burgundy cold-shoulder top, I chose the same colour for shoes just to bring more attention to the top as well as to keep things co-ordinated, add a large tote and a bomber or leather jacket for warmth. I also could definitely see this look going well with minimal make-up and a bold Lady Gaga type winged liner. Of course you're always free to alter the look however way you desire seeing as this is just something to gather inspiration from.

Playful off-shoulder

Summer Trends | Off-Shoulder

In case you missed out on my last 'summer trends' post where I created an inspired outfit featuring a gorgeous yellow lace dress - you can find it here. Today though, I wanted to share with you a second look and this time it's the most talked about trend of the season, off-shoulder. I opted for a playful baby blue dress to switch things up, if I were to wear this outfit, I'd probably try to go for the same look as above just to keep everything minimal while staying stylish. Another alternative would be to ditch the wedges for a pair of sneakers and a brown cross-body, which would be an ideal outfit for a outdoor festival.
Also a while ago myself and a couple of other ladies collaborated to create an outfit with the same theme and if you're interested in seeing that, you can find it here.

I'm off to watch the England vs. Iceland match.

Inspiration: Soft Colours

Summer '16 outfit

By estherni featuring a trench coat

In case you didn't already know, lace, pom poms, prints-on-prints and nautical patterns are some of the hottest trends right now. I decided on putting together an outfit styled around the gorgeous dress above. I think the look is classy and well put together, keep the jewellery to a minimal and in my opinion for the look to be complete without going too overboard; adding a soft smokey eye would definitely do the trick while still keeping the dress as the main focus. There's nothing I love more than creating collages because it's way easier than styling something from my own wardrobe and having to beg people to take pictures for me. I'll definitely be showing you more ways to style the trends for the summer, I'll try to combine both collages and outfits from my personal closet.

Have a great week. x

ASOS Wishlist

Asos Wishlist #1
Pay day is almost here and I've got another wishlist post, I definitely wouldn't mind if some of these items magically appeared in my wardrobe - for instance the dresses and orange culottes. Although I'm short, I think I might actually be able to pull off the culottes look, nothing a bit of heel can't solve! I think these items would be the perfect addition to my wardrobe for spring/summer.
My 'sleepcation' was very much needed and it felt great to not wake up with a hangover on Sunday morning, instead I spent most of my free time binge-watching Sons of Anarchy, I'm hooked and right now I'm just about done with season 4!

What's on your wishlist for April and have you watched any episode of SOA?

Scandinavian Vibes

I'm back with another inspiration post and this one focuses on Scandinavian interior decor. In case you didn't know, I'm very much into reading books, blogs and magazines that have to do with interior decoration; I don't know why exactly I enjoy it so much because I'm doubt that I'll be moving out anytime soon. I like stability and I'd miss my mum way too much. Anyway do have a scroll through and hopefully it can give you some ideas if you're in the middle of re-decorating or anything like that.

Wishlist / Spring

Happy new month! Today I've got a basic wishlist particularly focusing on lighter pieces seeing as spring's right around the corner. All of these pieces can be found on SheIn (previously SheInside), they're very affordable and I really liked the colours of each item. Firstly, I'm loving stripes, all kinds of striped whether vertical, horizontal or diagonal and I want to get my hands on a simple everyday dress with stripes, preferably navy stripes like in the first image. Also half-sleeves are so up my alley nowadays and I'm considering ordering the light blue one in the picture above, and that pick coat in the far left corner, how gorgeous is it?!
That's it for today, I'm excited for March and hope it'll be a good month to us all.

Get The Look : Wide Leg Trousers

Happy new week! Now I'm sure that you've all seen the wide leg trousers trend quite a lot lately, well today I've recreated a look inspired by the fashionable mother of three Miss. Folake, also known as Style Pantry. You can find her full look here. I absolutely love how she paired the bright trousers with a toned down off-the-shoulder blouse so in the picture above, I've created a look inspired by hers but it's more cold weather appropriate seeing as much of us live in colder climates. I thought adding a trench coat and ball of fur would finish off the outfit nicely.

What do you think of the outfit and do you keep up with the Style Pantry?

Inspiration | Knit galore

Happy Thursday! Today I wanted to share with you a trend that I've been loving this winter. I'm talking about KNITS. Everything knitted, whether it is socks, a skirt, vest or my favourite; a cosy oversize jumper. Yesterday I embarked on a new journey where I'm for the first time ever going to try and knit a whole grown woman jumper/sweater. I want it to be navy and I'll definitely share with you the finished product. Read on if you're interested in seeing more beautiful knit pieces and to get a simple idea of how to style them.

3 Last Minute Looks for NYE

Instagram | Tumblr | Pinterest Lookbook | Twitter | Bloglovin

It's finally New Years Eve which means it's time to put together an outfit for the magical night -or perhaps most of you already have an idea of what you'll be wearing. Myself I'm kind of a last-minute person and also this NYE for me will be spent working so the'll be no going out on my part. I put together three gorgeous outfits to inspire those who still have no clue as to what they want to wear.
NYE | Nude Trench

Outfit 1 // What I absolutely adore about this outfit is the trench coat, I mean how can one not? To me it appears to be the correct and perfect cut, colour and warm enough to wear on a cold night out. I decided to pair it with a nude loose blouse which can easily be switched up for a white one. A light bronze-y smokey eye would go well with the outfit and seeing as there's no sparkle, a sparkly pair of heels and a dark lipstick would polish the outfit nicely.

NYE | B e r r y

Outfit 2 // The items used above are quite expensive but I felt it wouldn't be a problem because this post is to inspire you with ideas and not for anyone out there to go splurge over $1.000 on a pair of sequined trousers just for the sake of it. Anyway, I really like the trousers above and I'll try to hunt down a similar pair for myself. I added a black fitted blazer to balance the look and added some burgundy accents like the lipgloss, nail polish and bag to bring out the berry colour in the trousers. A winged liner would settle the look very well in my opinion.

NYE | Classy ways

Outfit 3 // Look at how beautiful this ASOS dress is, from the bodycon to the spaghetti straps; it's literally perfect and affordable, which is always a plus. The look can be worn with tights or bare-legged, it's could be styled in a casual or fancy way, just go with whichever way floats your boat. A faux fur for warmth is perfect and the above navy one is not too overpowering and definitely leaves the dress to shine. Make-up wise, a dark sultry smokey eye would be suitable and finish off the look with either a red or nude lipstick. Personally I'd choose a red one because not all of us are into nudes... pun intended.

Hope this post was of help and remember, it's not all about owning the most expensive item but grasping inspiration from that expensive piece and adjusting it to your lifestyle by either styling an outfit based off of it or simply finding an alternative. It makes no sense to spend a fortune on a single sequined dress which you'll most likely wear once. If you are interested in other NYE looks then check out 3 outfits I put together for last years' New Years - Outfit 1 // Outfit 2 // Outfit 3

Wishing everyone a happy New Year ahead of us!

Winter Perfection

December Inspiration

And it's officially December, the last month of 2015. It's strange of think of it that way and as I reflect back to this year, to be honest with you all I'm happy with that I have achieved and done this year. I traveled a little bit and also met new lovely people. Today I wanted to share a simple outfit that's perfect for this season, the thick woolen trench coat is a must for every fashionista (I'm still searching for one that isn't overwhelmingly large on me...), it's perfect to throw on and high waist pants is something I've been loving a lot lately, I have two black pairs from Zara and when  wearing them I barely feel like I'm wearing jeans. That's how comfortable they are.
Add a few preferably accessories with colour to liven the look or simply go with your everyday handbag.

Would you wear this outfit?

Inspiration | November Blues

November is here and we're two months away from yet another new year. This year has gone by frighteningly fast but I'm looking forward to coming times. I have a good feeling about it all. It's started snowing here and that means the return of the thick sweaters, chunky scarves and my favourite; beanies! Today's post is full of pictures to get some of you (and myself) to actually embrace the cold weather instead of dreading it.

Happy new week. Hopefully you had an eventful weekend. I've been a bit ill so I've been taking it easy at home binge watching two and a half men and knitting like an old lady that I am at heart. I've also re-watched the new episodes of Empire and wow, so much drama going on. Everyone's going behind everyone's back, but of course we all love the juice don't we?
Today's post is a re-creation of a look from a fashion blogger, I really loved this relaxed look spotted on Julie of Sincerely Jules. It's an easily transformable look from daytime - nighttime b simply adding a bit more accessories and/or higher heels. I added a chunky blue necklace to uplift the look a bit.

What are your thoughts on this look?

Inspiration | 50 Shades of G R A Y

Good morning -  as you might have noticed I've been on a roll over here with these posts. Hopefully I'm not overwhelming you guys because I write about things that fascinate me - also I love seeing feedback from everyone. Lately I've been feeling quite inspired and I find myself constantly longing to go out and take photos for the blog any chance I get; but usually that ends in me stuffing my face with food and completely forgetting the photos, either that or I forget my camera battery, which seems to happen regularly. To me Autumn screams thick sweaters, leather skirts and lots of hats to choose from! I'm currently lusting over so many beautiful pieces from ASOS, just not yet sure if I can justify splurging big, you'll just have to see in the next coming weeks if anything happens.
What are your Autumn lusts?

Inspiration | I'm falling for U

Autumn is fast approaching, at least in this part of the world and I cannot wait. If you've been a follower of the blog for long then you probably know how I feel about the colder seasons; Autumn in particular. I love this time of the year because it's not too cold nor too warm outside and it gives me the opportunity to layer my clothes which is one of my favourite things to do. I love piling on layers and layers of cover-ups especially XL plaid shirts and knee-high socks with boots. Above are a couple of things I'm lusting over for the upcoming season.
What's your favourite way of dressing up in Autumn?
