It's finally New Years Eve which means it's time to put together an outfit for the magical night -or perhaps most of you already have an idea of what you'll be wearing. Myself I'm kind of a last-minute person and also this NYE for me will be spent working so the'll be no going out on my part. I put together three gorgeous outfits to inspire those who still have no clue as to what they want to wear.
Outfit 1 // What I absolutely adore about this outfit is the trench coat, I mean how can one not? To me it appears to be the correct and perfect cut, colour and warm enough to wear on a cold night out. I decided to pair it with a nude loose blouse which can easily be switched up for a white one. A light bronze-y smokey eye would go well with the outfit and seeing as there's no sparkle, a sparkly pair of heels and a dark lipstick would polish the outfit nicely.
Outfit 2 // The items used above are quite expensive but I felt it wouldn't be a problem because this post is to inspire you with ideas and not for anyone out there to go splurge over $1.000 on a pair of sequined trousers just for the sake of it. Anyway, I really like the trousers above and I'll try to hunt down a similar pair for myself. I added a black fitted blazer to balance the look and added some burgundy accents like the lipgloss, nail polish and bag to bring out the berry colour in the trousers. A winged liner would settle the look very well in my opinion.
Outfit 3 // Look at how beautiful this ASOS dress is, from the bodycon to the spaghetti straps; it's literally perfect and affordable, which is always a plus. The look can be worn with tights or bare-legged, it's could be styled in a casual or fancy way, just go with whichever way floats your boat. A faux fur for warmth is perfect and the above navy one is not too overpowering and definitely leaves the dress to shine. Make-up wise, a dark sultry smokey eye would be suitable and finish off the look with either a red or nude lipstick. Personally I'd choose a red one because not all of us are into nudes... pun intended.
Hope this post was of help and remember, it's not all about owning the most expensive item but grasping inspiration from that expensive piece and adjusting it to your lifestyle by either styling an outfit based off of it or simply finding an alternative. It makes no sense to spend a fortune on a single sequined dress which you'll most likely wear once.
