pastel nyfw spring 2014 trend
Jason Wu | Prabal Gurung | Rebecca Taylor

It's almost spring season and all the baby blues, pinks and other light colours and light weight clothing items will soon be making their debut. Below I've chosen 4 trends that will be seen throughout spring and it's that time to get ready and start getting ourselves a few pieces.

Pastels: this shouldn't come as a surprise as pastel's always the first trend that I'm sure everyone thinks of when they hear 'spring trends'. Pastels will shortly be coming into stores as the Spring seasons's quickly approaching. The best thing about this trend's that you can mix so many different colours together and still look fashion forward without attracting The Fashion Police's attention.

Alexander Wang | Costello Tagliapietra | Altuzarra
Contrast-Collar button downs: I love buttons downs and so you'll be seeing me rocking this trend even more in the spring time, just need to find a few different pieces because the one's I already own are worn out and raggedy. I really want something with preferably textured collars and cuffs. Suitable for any occasion.

Chistian Siriano | Alice + Olivia |Proenza Schouler
Tea-Length skirts: basically the in between of the infamous midi and maxi skirt is perfect for that polished ladylike look and it can as easily be made modern when paired with the right pieces. I love skirts even though I don't wear them as much as I'd like to, this is something I wish to try out.

J. Crew | Rachel Zoe | Clover Canyon
Collarless Coats: My love for these sorts of coats is indescribable, I've been longing to get one for so long but haven't yet found that perfect one. I spotted one in Zara but wasn't too sure since it was a blinding yellow colour. These ones are perfect for layering and there are plenty of colours and shapes to choose form, though the best part's that you can wear them with pretty much anything from a fitted date night dress, pencil skirt, leather pants; you name it.

I was starting to wonder why I hadn't caught the flu since it's been going around all winter and I only had a couple of days of coughing here and there (but wasn't too serious). Now it seems I've caught the real thing and for the past 2 days I've been sneezing like there's not tomorrow and also my nosy's been runny 24/7 which is very annoying especially when in public. Right now I'm living on tea with honey, ginger and even lemons but it just seems to get worse by each day. I'm spending my Friday in and getting some rest then tomorrow I'm probably going out with the girls.
Have an awesome weekend everyone.
xxx
