Fitness: For my P.E classes this semester I chose hot yoga because I'd started practicing it sometime last year but then became really lazy and never showed up for further classes so that's why I decided to give it another try this year and so far I'm loving it. Some may think/find the heat disturbing but actually it helps with stretching your muscles and making each position even less painful.

Diet: ever since starting the new year I've aimed for a more healthier diet by cutting out soda and junk food. I love me so KFC yo but I've managed to not eat any fast food for about 2-3 weeks now and I'm very proud. I don't miss it at all even though sometimes I've had to struggle with the urge to head straight to Serrano or anywhere I can get fries RIGHT after the gym. Madness init? Anyway I've been good with eating a good breakfast before going about my days.

Motivation: sometime back I'd bought a book titled 'Self-Confidence' by Paul McGee just for the fun of it and to see how I was doing in that category. I read some parts of the book and that is really what go me into the whole quotes thing and today I take them very seriously as to whereby each night before I go to bed and/or each morning I read to myself one quote for motivation and to remind me that I'm closer to my dreams that I was yesterday. It's made a lot of change in this 1 month, if you are one to have really bad days where you just feel very uninspired and you don't want to do anything then I highly suggest you try this method.
Started this year off with a lot of positive energy and making sure not to let any little thing or person affect me and bring me down. When I was younger my mother used to tell me that if someone spread lies about me or talked behind my back then they were probably just intimidated and were jealous of my qualities. It's something I still live by till this very day. By doing so people might think of you as a self-absorbed person but in a truth all you need to do is ignore them and their negativity and I guarantee you that the silence will drive them even more crazy.

Amen sister, positive vibes only! I really love self-help books, so I might have to pick up the book you mentioned. I love that you read a quote of positive affirmation every night before bed, I'm finding that when you do things like that that are great for your soul, postivity is easy to come by. And listen to what your mama said, she is so right. I also like the things you are doing for your health lately. That pic of Adam is kinda hot too btw haha ;)
ReplyDeleteYou definitely should and being positive about things is just the way to go. I've really felt a huge difference after I started ending and beginning my days with a certain quote. lol I knew you'd say something like that, he's so hot though and the fact that he practises yoga just makes him even hotter :D
